Hi X, all good questions!
IPR just published a piece specifically examining her account of meeting with Trump and how that factored into the pardon of Ross Ulbricht. I’ve been hesitant to share the full transcript myself, as my role was simply helping George and Third Party Watch obtain a personal copy of her speech so he could take the time to carefully transcribe it. Given that, I’d feel it’s not my place to post it directly here, especially since he put in the effort. I encourage interested readers to access the full transcript through him.
As for your other questions, this is the first time I can recall McArdle referring to her husband as such. I’ve also seen her mention mounting a third bid for LNC Chair in passing on X, but to my knowledge, she hasn’t made a formal public announcement.
Items 5 and 6 are gleaned from a speech and discussion thereof at

The discussion has links to video for those who prefer that.

Not at all! I don’t want anyone to feel discouraged about sharing things they come across elsewhere.”
At the above link it says in the intro
“The following is a transcript of a recent speech by Angela McArdle on how she negotiated about the Presidential Election with Donald Trump. The speech was scheduled to be given at the 2025 New Hampshire Liberty Forum in Concord, New Hampshire on Saturday, April 26 in the late afternoon.
My thanks to Jordan Willow Evans and Dan Fishman for handling technical aspects of the electronic and computing issues.”
Jordan, since you helped with the transcript, obviously this isn’t a tip for you, but my friend Curious and I are wondering whether or when you might also post it for discussion here?

“Freedom Calls” is the winning theme.
Isn’t that the name of Angela’s baby’s daddy’s telemarketing company?
2) Actually posted on

I thought it was Mises PAC founder Michael Heise’s telemarketing company, but you might be right, if you meant Austin Padgett, former LNC chair Angela McArdle’s domestic partner and child’s father.
3) I posted May 9:
Unknown is correct.
“…under McArdle’s leadership the LNC has paid over $45,000 since last February to a company called Freedom Calls for fundraising services. Porter discovered that McArdle’s domestic partner and father of her child, Austin Padgett, was the incorporator of record for that entity. The operation’s website says it offers phone banking, canvassing, and website and email services, but the “Who are you?” squib merely says they are “a radical group of individuals who’ve come together to change the system. We are futurists. The tech industry is full of disrupters and secret dissidents.” No names are provided. Porter says he could find no Federal Elections Commission records of any other entities paying Freedom Calls.”

Is that a coincidence?
5) The new (to me) development is that Austin Padgett is not Angela McArdle’s “Baby Daddy” or “Domestic Partner.” In a speech given in 2025 describing 2023 events she repeatedly calls him her husband.
6) Also new to me is that Mrs. Padgett is running for a 3rd term as LNC Chair in Grand Rapids in 2026. She resigned early in her 2nd term, citing unspecified opportunities which will “make some people’s heads explode” or words to that effect, “to be announced soon.” That was a few months ago; if there’s been an announcement, I missed it.

It turns out that Mr. Austin Padgett, owner of Freedom Calls, isn’t Mrs. Austin Padgett (nee Angela McArdle)’s baby daddy or domestic partner, he’s her husband. Also, reportedly Mrs. Padgett will be seeking a third term as LNC chair at the 2026 grand rapids libertarian national convention – where Freedom Calls is the winning theme.

Happy birthday to IPR. If it was a person, as of next year a year from today it would be old enough to vote and sign legal contracts.

Happy birthday to IPR (17) (and me, lol (53)). We used to do an IPR birthday article every year on May 20. You can check them out in the archives – I don’t know how many years you’d have to go back. But it was every day on may 20 for many years.
If anyone wants to respond or catch up or stay in touch or whatever text (do not call) 205-534-1622 anytime and tell me who it is – real name or screen name – on your first text. I’ve lost a lot of numbers over the years so don’t assume I have yours saved if I used to.
I’m not going to remember to check back here so replying to comments isn’t a way to respond – just text. If you never text or worry about me having your number you can e-mail, but the last time I checked email was in January.
I don’t do voice calls anymore and the last time I checked FB was in 2020. Texting and in person face to face are pretty much the only ways I communicate anymore.
For those who don’t know me, pardon the interruption. I’ll check back in next year April 1 and May 20, maybe.
The Forward Party’s Women’s Committee will be meeting tomorrow, May 20, for its 2nd Priorities Forum (formerly known as the Issues Forum). The forum is open to all members of the Committee and will focus on identifying the priorities it will focus on most in the next year. The event is virtual and will begin at 8:30 PM Eastern Time.
Further details and a meeting agenda are available here: https://home.forwardparty.com/2nd_fwdwc_priorities_forum
The Green Party was scheduled to host its “Dump Duopoly, Demand Democracy” rally with Jill Stein this past Saturday but had to postpone it due to a last-minute family health emergency and scheduling conflicts. A new date is expected to be announced later this week.

Sorry if I made it sound like I was trying to rush you. I hope you find some new details that the other coverage hasn’t.
Actually: To my knowledge, there is no such policy, and I do appreciate the tips. I intend to publish something once I can sit down and do a deep dive into Hyland’s story. I typically try to research the background of stories already covered by other publications so as not to encroach too heavily on what they’ve already published (versus more primary sources that come directly from parties or candidates). Apologies for the delay!
“Murderer gets out of prison. Becomes “social justice abolition” advocate for Working Families Party. Progressive prosecutor Krasner is “honored to accept their endorsement.” but he murders again and Krasner now has to prosecute him. You really can’t make this up.”
Jordan, I think that deserves its own article, unless you have a policy against publishing negative news about minor parties – I don’t think you do, do you?
Also @ Wendy Casper
“This addition reflects the party’s steady growth and the increasing interest in its platform,”
They chartered a new affiliate in a state where they had an affiliate for many years and are still unlikely to get ballot access in the foreseeable future. By just about any measure I can think of, they are actually in decline, not growing, much less steadily. These measures can include such things as number of states with ballot access, number of votes for president, number of registered voters, and, yes, number of active state affiliates. By what measures is the Constitution Party steadily growing?
Actually
@ Wendy Casper at granitegrok
“The Constitution Party convened its National Committee Meeting in Manchester, New Hampshire, on April 25–26, 2025, drawing members, party leaders, and supporters from across the country. The biannual event served as both a strategic planning session and a celebration of the party’s commitment to constitutional principles, individual liberty, and limited government.”
This was a quarterly national committee meeting, not the biannual event which is known as a convention. That was last year in Utah.
To be fair, nobody was claiming he’s a neutral source. That was the first source that popped up in a quick web search for Freedom Calls Padgett. If you want to argue whether Padgett was the incorporator of record for Freedom Calls or any other specific details, come up with your own sources and show how neutral they’ve been.
To be fair, Porter is blatantly anti McArdle and always has been. He’s not a neutral source.
Is that a coincidence?

IPR very briefly covered the Constitution Party National Committee’s spring meeting in an article last month, but I came across this today, which goes into a bit more depth:
https://granitegrok.com/new-england/nh/2025/05/constitution-party-hosts-national-co-mittee-meeting-in-new-hampshire
The Constitution Party of New Hampshire is in the process of forming a Hillsborough County affiliate.

The Libertarian Party’s theme contest came to an end earlier this week. I’ve seen it mentioned several times online, including by LNC Secretary Caryn Ann Harlos, that “Freedom Calls” is the winning theme. I’m waiting to see if the national party issues an official announcement with more information, including how much was actually raised.

Hi Bob, are you referring to the New Frontier Summit canceled earlier last month?
No talk of the Liberal Party cancelling their convention? Are they defunct? Too many left wing parties they couldn’t make any headway?
