Gravel gets behind New York City 9/11 panel initiative

On its website, the Village Voice reports former Democratic and Libertarian presidential candidate Mike Gravel is joining in a “grassroots effort to have New York City citizens vote to establish a new September 11th investigation commission. The petition drive needs at least 30,000 residents to give their signatures in order to place a potential amendment to the city charter on the November ballot.” Gravel said of the report by the 9/11 Commission headed by Thomas Kean and Lee Hamilton, “Even the commissioners and their panderers admit it had shortcomings. This commission will be made up of people with only one stake: finding the truth.” Gravel said he “expects a new commission to uncover crimes committed in the lead-up to 9/11. ‘The sooner we put a president, a vice president, a secretary of Defense in jail, the sooner things will shape up,’ he said, adding that ‘impeachment is too soft.'”

Kean and Hamilton are cardcarrying CFR members! Who would a thunk it?

Missed Gravel, thought Nader did a good job. I have no doubt he is more qualified to be POTUS than B.O. The MSM must blackout Nader, because he would definitely overshadow B.O. I truly think Cynthia McK would outshine B.O. also! McSame? Well I sincerely believe if elected he will be droulling on himself by 2012. He is Bob Dole 2! It is a WIDEOPEN election if the third parties and Nader can get their message to the people!

We need a series of debates between all candidates who by ballot access have a mathematical chance to be elected in the Electoral College. That looks like BaldWIN, Barr, McKinney, McSame, Nader and B.O. will be eligible. Let the people decide!

Gravel was on Democracy Now with Amy Goodman two nights ago, talking about this.

And Nader was on it last night.
