The Cato Institute will hold a book forum to discuss Ralph Nader’s books “Unstoppable: The Emerging Left-Right Alliance to Dismantle the Corporate State.” The forum will take place on July 27, 2014 at the Hayek Center in the Cato Institute Building, located @ 1000 Massachusetts Ave, NW in Washington DC.
The book forum will feature the author Ralph Nader; with comments by Daniel McCarthy, Editor, The American Conservative; Timothy P. Carney, Senior Political Columnist, The Washington Examiner; moderated by Brink Lindsey, Vice President for Research, Cato Institute.
In Unstoppable, famed political activist Ralph Nader calls for an alliance of principled libertarians, conservatives, and progressives against a corrupt and overreaching Washington establishment. Although long an iconic figure on the political left, Nader here seeks to bridge ideological divisions by identifying opportunities for left-right cooperation. According to Nader, the possibilities for joint action include opposing unnecessary wars and bloated Pentagon spending, protecting endangered civil liberties, and combating corporate welfare and bailouts.
