What motivation would there be to invade the Libertarian Zone? The Libertarian Zone would mind its own business, and would be a center for commerce, as in there’d be people all over the world who’d want to do business with people in the Libertarian Zone.
Would anyone want to invade the Libertarian Zone just because they do not like libertarians and want to squash a society with that much freedom? Perhaps, but invading the Libertarian Zone would not be that easy, due to the fact that residents of the Libertarian Zone would be well armed, and their rugged individualist nature would mean that they are not people who would just “bow down” to anyone, especially without a fight.
Would the Libertarian Zone hire any full time “warriors” for protection? Some people in the Libertarian Zone may do this, but they would not be funded via taxation, because there would not be any taxes in the Libertarian Zone. So any full time “warriors” would have to exist on voluntary donations. This would mean that if they get out of hand, their funding could be voluntarily revoked.
What would a tyrant accomplish by attacking the Libertarian Zone? Since there would not be anything resembling an existing government, there’d be no government to conquer, so the tyrant would have to conquer each member of the Libertarian Zone on an individual basis. This is not as easy as it sounds, especially given that there would be no restrictions on the ability of Libertarian Zone members to keep and bear arms. Libertarian Zone members could have anti-aircraft missiles in their yards. Libertarian Zone members could have tanks in their garages. Libertarian Zone members could own their own fighter planes. Libertarian Zone members could have their own shoulder fired rocket launchers. There tends to be a lot of libertarians that are computer geeks. I bet if they got together they could come up with some nasty computer viruses to unleash against any tyrant that were to attack or threaten the Libertarian Zone. People in the Libertarian Zone will likely accumulate a lot of wealth. Perhaps they could threaten to sell off a bunch of stocks at once to cause the price to crash for a company or companies in which a threatening tyrant would have vested interest. Members of the Libertarian Zone could also put a bounty on the head of a threatening tyrant, say $1 billion for the person who assassinates whatever tyrant is threatening the Libertarian Zone, or something like that.
If some tyrant did stage a military raid against the Libertarian Zone, and they went in and dropped bombs or launched missiles or shelled it with artillery fire, all they’d do is destroy the infrastructure. The Libertarian Zone would not be as valuable with its infrastructure in shambles, and this assumes that they’d even get that far, which they may not.
Have you ever read the book, “Molon Labe,” by Boston T. Party, aka-Kenneth Royce? The book is about a group of libertarians taking over the state of Wyoming and turning it into a free state. The concept is not exactly the same as the Libertarian Zone, but it is close enough for discussion. I hate to give away any of the story, but in part of it, a group of pro-liberty people in the military steal a nuclear warhead from an Air Force base (they may have stolen a few of them, it has been a few years since I read the book). They end up hiding a nuclear warhead in Washington DC, and they threaten to detonate it if the feds mess with Wyoming. Not a bad idea.
There could also be multiple Libertarian Zones around the world. The pro-big government folks would have a more difficult time stopping the Libertarian Zone concept if there were several of them around the world.
Anyway, I don’t think that the Libertarian Zone would be as likely to succumb to a military invasion as you think that it would.

Oregon is a great place to start being part of the Northwest Front to have the states of Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Wyoming and western Montana seceded as an Aryan Republic. Yes, this is a possibility, but I think that it would be less likely to happen, and would be far less likely to happen to extent that is has happen in the USA, due to the Libertarian Zone being formed on a much stronger pro-liberty base, and due to it eliminating the flaws with the US Constitution.
The Libertarian Zone would have a population of well armed rugged individualists. There’d be no coercively funded and operated police or military. There’d also be no government funded and controlled education system. People would home school their children, or send them to private schools, or to guilds, and some may even chose the un-schooling route. This would be likely to produce a population that contained far more rugged individualists than what we have today in the present day USA.
So even though there’d be no military as we know it, the Libertarian Zone would not be any easy target for invaders, nor would there be a great motivation for invaders, due to the Libertarian Zone being a tax haven, and due to the Libertarian Zone having a non-interventionist policy, as in the Libertarian Zone would not send troops around the world or anything like that.
I envision the Libertarian Zone as becoming a wealthy society, because for one reason, since there’d be no taxes, wealthy people from around the world would want to invest there. Not only would there be no taxes, businesses (like banks, etc…) would not report any earnings to the governments where people who live outside the Libertarian Zone, but who invested in the Libertarian Zone, reside. So the Libertarian Zone could be a tax haven.
A lot of the public, and this is true in every county on the planet, DOES NOT WANT TO BE FREE. I’d say that around 2/3 of the population of the USA does not really want freedom. There is probably a similar breakdown in every other country on the planet, but some may have a population that covets freedom less than others.

I’ve heard people refer to the Porcfest event in New Hampshire as a mini temporary libertarian society. How libertarian would Porcfest be if a bunch of big government types started attending it, and got involved in the planning of the event? My Libertarian Zone concept is like having Porcfest, but making it a year round event, with an actual community of libertarians living there, and having a defense mechanism in place to prevent the libertarian community from being over-run by big government types, be they socialists, communists, fascists, monarchists, or whatever other command and control system.

There are some big differences that you are overlooking. One is that there currently is not really anywhere for libertarians to go if they want to live in anything resembling a libertarian society.
Another is that the current US government is supposed to abide by a Constitution, as is each state government, however, the problem is – as Lysander Spooner pointed out many years ago – that the Constitution is not a valid contract, because nobody living today signed it, and as Marc Stevens points out today, there is really no evidence that the Constitution or any “laws” passed by government today actually applies to anyone.
My Libertarian Zone concept solves this problem by having an actual contract that everyone who lives in the Libertarian Zone signs. Those who are under the age of adulthood would be under the jurisdiction of their parents or caretakers, but upon reaching the age of adulthood, they’d have to sign the Libertarian Zone contract or they’d be deported from the Libertarian Zone. The mentally handicapped would be under the jurisdiction of their caretakers.

I doubt that there would be much crime in the Libertarian Zone, because most people who live in the Libertarian Zone would likely chose to be armed, and it is a fact that a well armed populace reduces crime. There’d also would not be any laws against vices in the Libertarian Zone, so there’d be no war on drugs or war on prostitution or war on gambling, etc…, which also lead to higher crime rates due to criminals supplying these things when governments outlaw them.
There is no such thing as a utopia though, so there’d still likely be some legitimate crimes committed from time to time, so there’d have to be ways to deal with that.
Police as we know them would not exist in the Libertarian Zone, nor would there be a military as we know it. There also would not be any taxes in the Libertarian Zone, unless you’d want to count posting bond which could turn into bounty money as a tax, although it would be debatable if this would count as a tax or not. There’d be no income tax, no sales tax, no property taxes, no business taxes, no business license fees, no tariffs, no duties, no excise taxes, etc… There’d also be no central bank and competing currencies would be allowed. Some people may trade in gold or silver, others may use crypto-currencies like Bitcoin, or Litecoin or Darkcoin, and others may use something else for money.
Some people in the Libertarian Zone may chose to hire private security guards, but I expect that most would chose to defend themselves by owning weapons. Voluntary militia groups would also likely form in the Libertarian Zone.
One of the flaws in the present system which we live under is that the public has surrendered a lot of its ability to protect itself to a coercive government which hires police, military, etc…, and the public can not stop funding them when these positions are abused. This would not happen in the Libertarian Zone. Everyone in the Libertarian Zone would be bound by a Libertarian Zone contract which they have all read and signed, and nobody would be forced to fund anyone else through taxation.
The only people who’d want to live in the Libertarian Zone would be libertarians. Immigrants to the Libertarian Zone would be libertarian, and the same standard put on immigrants to the Libertarian Zone would be put on those who are born in the Libertarian Zone, as in if a person born in the Libertarian Zone reaches adulthood, and does not sign a Libertarian Zone contract, or, if they sign the contract and violate it, they’d be exiled from the Libertarian Zone.
Everyone who lives in the Libertarian Zone could act as a contract enforcer, this is why the bounty system would be open to anyone. There’d be no “warrior class” of police who are funded through taxation.
So what if somebody violates a Libertarian Zone contract and a bounty goes up on their head and the leave or escape the Libertarian Zone? Well, part of it would depend on the severity of what they did. If they did not do anything beyond not signing the Libertarian Zone contract, then there would not be any motivation for anyone to go after them after they left the Libertarian Zone. If they did something more serious, such as they stole something of value or they committed rape or murder, there’d be a greater motivation to pursue them. So bounties would go up on their heads and the bounties could be collected by anyone outside of the Libertarian Zone as well as inside the Libertarian Zone. So you don’t think that a person living outside the Libertarian Zone would not want to collect a bounty on somebody who committed a crime in the Libertarian Zone? I expect that they would, so pursuing serious criminals who leave the Libertarian Zone would not just put Libertarian Zone based bounty hunters on their tail, it would put everyone else on the planet on their tail, because anyone on the planet would be eligible to collect the bounty.
One problem in a society wherein all security and dispute resolution is privatized is that it will be even more heavily be biased in favor of the rich and their security thugs.

I used to believe in “limited government”; of course, I also used to believe in Santa Claus and the Tooth Fairy. Fortunately, the passage of time allowed me to escape from such delusions.
I can’t really speak for other people, but my vision of libertarian anarchy would have no central planning at all, and hence, no institutions other than those that naturally arose from the free market. Since the outcomes of a free market are impossible to predict (which is really the beauty of it), I couldn’t begin to give you any specifics about what sorts of institutions might arise. I will say that it would likely be far from a libertarian paradise (I don’t think such a thing, or any kind of paradise, could ever exist, given the inherent imperfection of human nature).
However, I do have a lot more confidence in the free market than in central planning, and therefore, I would expect such a society, whatever its flaws (and they would likely be numerous), to be, on the whole, far superior to the status quo, not only from a libertarian perspective, but from virtually any perspective, with the exception of certain sociopaths.
That said, this libertarian notion of bounty hunters, Libertarian Zones, Agorist cadres, private militias, etc., all acting under “free contract,” sound like just other names for gangstas, mafiosi, and warlords, selling protection, and enforcing rules against people who didn’t contract with them in the first place.

I know that in theory (on paper) these libertarian enforcers are supposed to act under libertarian principles, and so they’ll be different than the Crips, Bloods, or Mafia. You actually just cited a bunch of the reasons that nationalism is a relatively strong force in Poland.
Nationalism — as an overt “ideology,” rather than as a discernible tendency — tends to take root most strongly where things seem crappy and people want someone/something to blame.
Another reason for nationalism to be fairly strong in Poland is the same reason that there are quite a few neo-Confederates in the American south. The marginalized and obsessive tend to gravitate to lost causes. Poland’s entire history is one of periodically being dismembered, occupied and ruled by Germany and/or Russia or their predecessors. It’s only been a couple of decades since the last round of that ended and it’s likely to happen again at least once, maybe twice in this century.
Chris has never had to look for work in Poland to support himself. He may not be such an ardent Polish nationalist if and when he actually gives that a try. I’ve posted about the idea several times here. I would like to write an editorial about it, however, I’m pretty busy right now and don’t really have the time. Maybe later.
A short summary, is that the Libertarian Zone would be a voluntary community of libertarians living in a geographically connected area, and they would all have to sign a contract to not initiate force and fraud to live in the Libertarian Zone.
I don’t see rational intellect alone, a mere tip of the iceberg in a brain and psyche conditioned by millions of years of tribal/ethnic/national war and billions of years of survival of the fittest, ending racism and war. To me it seems it will take an evolutionary step – which we are on the very verge of.
