2nd Report in Recent Weeks Warns of Violence by “Right Wing Extremists”
Lancaster, PA: The US Department of Homeland Security has issued a report warning law enforcement to pay close attention to “right wing extremists.” The DHS report titled Rightwing Extremism: Current Economic and Political Climate Fueling Resurgence in Radicalization and Recruitment is the second such report which labels those with a conservative political ideology as potentially violent.
The Constitution Party, the fastest growing third party in America, decries the report as a calculated effort to demonize those who adhere to the concept of limited, Constitutional government.
In the report, issued on April 7th, the DHS warns of potential violence by “right-wing extremists” who, the report says, can be found among those against illegal immigration, increased federal power and taxation, gun control, abortion and the loss of U.S. sovereignty. The report mentions returning war veterans as being particularly threatening, saying the “recession” is fueling radical “recruiting” of the military.
“This propaganda coming from the United States government should enrage each and every hard working American across the political spectrum”, said Constitution Party National Committee Chairman Jim Clymer.
“Especially the demonizing of veterans who gave so much while fighting in Iraq and Afghanistan. It’s reprehensible that those brave men and women are being eyed with such unwarranted suspicion,” Clymer added.
The DHS report comes on the heels of a report in Missouri which made similar mischaracterizations last month, saying those who follow third party candidates like Constitution Party presidential candidate Chuck Baldwin and Libertarian Bob Barr should be suspect. The Missouri Information Analysis Center’s (MIAC) warning to law enforcement was compiled with the help of the DHS but was later denounced by the Missouri State Police Chief as a “political attack”(http://wnd.com).
The Constitution Party calls on Department of Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano to likewise acknowledge her department’s April 7th report as a political attack, and rescind the damaging document.
“This is an egregious case of political profiling. The timing of this report – to coincide with tax protests across the country – should not be lost on Americans. It’s indeed a frightening reality when those who subscribe to a Constitutionally- based political view are characterized as potentially “violent,” Clymer noted.

I can assure you that Ron Paul IS NOT a write in candidate in California.
I was involved in the process of getting Chuck Baldwin on the California certified write in list.
The Secretary of State requires a declaration of candidacy SIGNED by the candidate, in addition to 55 notarized and jurated electoral college nominees.
So unless Ron Paul signed a declaration, then he is not a write in candidate.
The deadline for paperwork was October 21st.
Stupid Don Lake – Starting with c) Why should anyone apologize to a nitwit idiot like you when you don’t do jack for the Veterans as you claim that you do? The CP Veterans group is organizing to save the nation. You are supporting the very people ( the Alan Keyes corruption gang ) that are, among many others, attacking it. Hence they are working to save the country while you work to drag it down. Any true veterans group that realized how you are supporting traitors who are betraying the nation would kick your ass for helping the Judas Goats that are stabbing the country in the back. b) In June we will kill the butts of the corruption faction which you promote. a) You know, as usual, absolutely nothing. You promote the lies of the attackers of the CP. No state group is considering leaving the CP. The AIP never truly left the CP as only a fake vote to disaffiliate was taken; never a true vote. But a Stupid Idiot like you does not know the difference between them. You are a Stupid Idiot supporter of ” Dan Armata,” i.e.; Mark Seidenberg – a moral rat just like you are a total assinine idiot.

“Constitution Party, the fastest growing third party in America, decries the report as a calculated effort to demonize those who adhere to the concept of limited, Constitutional government……….”
[a] well there is a Constitution Party nationally, but it is sixth or seventh in size after losing California (‘s American Independent Party), Texas and an other entity. I am aware of may be a half dozen state groups that are also considering disenfranchisement.
[b] speaking of former USAF Sgt Bill Lussenheide’s California Constitution Party it does not exist and has never existed. It is a non existent entity.
[c] *personal experience* William does not apologize (to me any ways) for the CP Veterans Group having next to nothing to do with the plight of former military.
Lussenheide is a religious nut. Has belonged to a cult religion for years now tries to cover it up. His run for congress will go nowhere. He is a self absorbed blowhard. Heard him speak at various parks…he should have stuck to washing windows. As that will be his coup de grace.
Re-education camps have closed borders, peace is maintained witin them, and many prayers to god arise from those within them. Maybe Mr. Lussenheide will make America into one giant re-education camp, separated into many tiny camps with closed borders.
“If some of our children decide not to believe in god what will you do to them?”
Re-education camps.
Seriously, what a scary and disturbing statement for a candidate to make!
Bill Lussenheide
“I will end all wars”
Even defensive wars?
“and close all borders”
Does this include state and county borders?
“and make sure our children believe in GOD!!”
If some of our children decide not to believe in god what will you do to them?

New article in Delaware Libertarian
Leftwing extremism, rightwing extremism, and why all the rhetoric matters…
http://delawarelibertarian.blogspot.com/2009/04/leftwing-extremism-rightwing-extremism.html
PDSA,
The report eludes to the recession several more times without actually using the word recession. The report eludes to the recruitment of our beloved military personnel by the “rightwing extremist” in the report. That makes it come across that when ever they make a comment on the “rightwing extremist” they are also making it about the returning service personnel.
That is what has upset so many people.
(U) Rightwing extremism in the United States can be broadly divided into those groups, movements, and
adherents that are primarily hate-oriented (based on hatred of particular religious, racial or ethnic groups),
and those that are mainly antigovernment, rejecting federal authority in favor of state or local authority, or
rejecting government authority entirely. It may include groups and individuals that are dedicated to a
single issue, such as opposition to abortion or immigration
So anyone that has a belief that falls on the Right would be considered to fall under this ridiculous notion. And the Left says that we are the FEAR MONGERS.
by 2200, there will be no United States of America. From the implosion of the former Soviet Union to one self inflicted wound after another. We have no one to blame but our own home grown [so called] leadership……….
i believe in raising my children directly. i do not believe in child support in any way for any reason. what have you contitutionists have to say about that.
that thomas paine, what a smart man. we are a very young country. we all have lots to endure as did all other countrys when they were young. this country will not last if we abandon the passion for what we the people believe is right because the government tells us to.
deidre , I cited two paragraphs from page two. I guess you did not read my post.
What exactly does your response have to do with my assertion that the Constitution Party lied about what the DHS Report said? OK, maybe “lied” is a bit harsh, and instead the CP suffers from a home skooled reedin’ comprehension disability.
The only mention of military personnel on page 2 is about “the return of military veterans facing significant challenges reintegrating into their communities”. This is wholly separated from page 2’s use of the word “recession” and “recruitment”, claimed by the CP as pointing directly at Veterans in the report: “the ‘recession’ is fueling radical ‘recruiting’ of the military.“
The Report DOES NOT say this. In fact, that returning veterans face significant reintegration challenges after coming home, is directly caused by the warsickness, which isn’t a “disability”, but instead a sign that the vet has returned still in possession of her/his humanity. If veterans are returning, and subsequently turning violently anti-social, this is the fault Congress, which once again has underfunded the VA to fulfill promises they made to vets before matching to war.
My previous comment was only about the Congressional Party’s dishonest spin on the DHS Report. I am upset by the DHS
Report, because it tends greatly to criminalise thought and speech, not actions, and attempts to paint an extra felony coat on what are already crimes, well covered in existing US Code.
But then, I also believe that some dim-witted greenie who torches another dim-witted person’s parked SUV is not a terrorist either. (S)he is clearly an arsonist, who should be fairly tried and convicted for this act.
Some of us have been in this fight for almost 8 years now; have been warning that it does not matter if the black finger of terroristic blame is not pointing at us presently; it will point at us all someday. Where have you been?
Now that thre DHS has specifically mentioned extremists who kill humans in cold blood to promote issues many on the right support, y’all start up with incessant whiny lamentations, rending of hair shirts, and pulling out hair, saying, oh no the government’s targeting me! Thou hypocrite, go to the mirror – you really need to look at that mote. Or could it be deep down in your hearts that you believe God has given you the power to Judge humans with a vengeful heart, and you think Eric Randolph Rudolph, James Charles Kopp, Clayton Lee Waagner, Paul Ross Evans, and other murderers are actually members in The Army of God, who have righteously been judge jury and executioner of His Will? Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven. Maybe you believe that desperately poor folk from south of the border, who only desire a little less pain in this life, are really an invading army, who should be murdered on sight? With what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.
Instead of picking and choosing favorite selections from you chosen Book, you should have be reading about America’s REAL Founding Principles:
“An avidity to punish is always dangerous to liberty. It leads men to stretch, to misinterpret, and to misapply even the best of laws. He that would make his own liberty secure must guard even his enemy from oppression; for if he violates this duty he establishes a precedent that will reach to himself.” – Thomas Paine, “Dissertations on First Principles of Government”, 1795
So why wasn’t there any backlash last summer along with the news of FBI Report:
White Supremacist Recruitment of Military Personnel 2008 – July 7, 2008?
WikiLeaks Link to PDF file of Report
It’s an Obomination they keep telling us…
why has this web sight not given a link to the report?
Just reposting what the Constitution Party posted on their site.
(Pdsa) Did you miss page 2 of the report? and everyone else on this sight. Their is no reason why you should take anyone’s word as to what the report says. go to the source your self. Tell my why people debate something they have not investigated for them selves. Truly this is the down fall of our great nation. It is how you help people make truly informed decisions. Even more frustrating to me is, why has this web sight not given a link to the report????????

Your welcome
its a sad day when we call our own people terrorists, not to mention those who have served our country to protect the freedoms and rights we are given, a major insult and slap in the face, no respect, right is wrong, and wrong is right, sounds firmilar, the days of sodam and gamorh, we have been sold out by this government, we are headed for another civil war i am afraid, gree, i wonder which side the military will choose, government that has sold out there brothers, sisters, mothers, fathers, and childrens, children, a russian scientist predicted, by the year 2010 the U.S will be broke up in to 6 teritories, i thought that was insane, now we are seeing it happen, we need a new party, a we the people party, the government and the media has went to far to long, it is time for change, and we the people need to stand and fight for our freedom once agian, protect and serve our country aginst the real national sercurity threat to the people, THE U.S GOVERNMENT!!!!!!
Great comment Frank Burns, probably one of the best comments ever on this site. Check out the Catholic Trotskyist Party, it is a party of non-violence and world government, and is soon to be backed personally by President Obama.
Frank.. Listen to your mother and maybe you’ll get back in her good graces. Learn some history instead of running your mouth. tomcat is right on track. Adele, your onto something.. but many many more “americans” are duped just like momma burns’ baby boy frank. Look who they put into office.. nuff said.
Frank Burns,
I stumbled upon this site and was shocked at your words. Your statement shows no wisdom, truth or knowledge of U.S. history. Read the Constitution of the United States, son. They-the government, works for us. It is our collective wills that dictates this country’s policies. Really? Insane?! Check yourself.
The DHS report also mentions that “end time prophecies” are motivators for extremists.
Guess that mean that every Bible believing Christian in the country is an “extremist”.
I don’t believe in violent revolution, but the State probably does.

Napolitano Apologizes for Offending Veterans After DHS Eyes Them for ’Rightwing Extremism’
by FOXNews.com
Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano apologized to veterans in a FOX News interview after a DHS report labeled returning troops at risk for embracing right-wing extremism.
Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano apologized to veterans after a report issued by her department said troops returning from the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan were at risk for being recruited by right-wing extremists.
“To the extent veterans read it as an accusation … an apology is owed,” she said during an on-air interview on FOX News Thursday, a day after veterans’ groups and members of Congress blasted her for the report, which they said libeled members of the armed forces.
“This was an assessment, not an accusation,” Napolitano continued. “It was limited to extremists those who seek to commit violence within the United States. And all this was meant to do was to give law enforcement what we call ’situational awareness.’”
“The last thing I want to do is offend or castigate all veterans. To the contrary, let’s meet and clear the air,” she said.
A footnote in the report, “Rightwing Extremism: Current Economic and Political Climate Fueling Resurgence in Radicalization and Recruitment,” said that while there is no specific information that domestic right-wing terrorists are planning acts of violence, such acts could come from unnamed “rightwing extremists” concerned about illegal immigration, abortion, increasing federal power and restrictions on firearms — and singled out returning war veterans as susceptible to recruitment.
“If there’s one part of this report that I would rewrite … it would be that footnote,” Napolitano said.
American Legion National Commander David Rehbein, who blasted the report earlier this week as incomplete and politically-biased, said he was pleased with Napolitano’s apology.
“I am glad that Department of Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano has apologized for the language used in the report about ’Rightwing Extremism,’” Rehbein said in a statement obtained by FOXNews.com. “I look forward to meeting with her next Friday, putting this behind us and discussing critical issues involving Homeland Security and The American Legion.”
To be fair, I haven’t read the actual report.
But if there is nothing in there about veterans, why is Janet Napolitano apologizing for it?
http://www.constitutionparty.com/news.php?aid=929
It seems strange to me a party that claims it strives to restore American law to “its Biblical foundations”, would play so fast and loose with the truth. Here, let me offer them a little refresher course: “Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour.”
From the CP’s press release above:
“The report mentions returning war veterans as being particularly threatening, saying the ‘recession’ is fueling radical ‘recruiting’ of the military.“
Pure unripened cowchips, the quotation marks, notwithstanding.
The word “recession” is found once in the cited DHS Report:
“The current economic and political climate has some similarities to the 1990s when rightwing extremism experienced a resurgence fueled largely by an economic recession, criticism about the outsourcing of jobs, and the perceived threat to U.S. power and sovereignty by other foreign powers.” – Page 2
No mention of military personnel there.
The word “recruiting” is found twice in the cited DHS Report:
“Threats from white supremacist and violent antigovernment groups during 2009 have been largely rhetorical and have not indicated plans to carry out violent acts. Nevertheless, the consequences of a prolonged economic downturn-including real estate foreclosures, unemployment, and an inability to obtain credit-could create a fertile recruiting environment for rightwing extremists and even result in confrontations between such groups and government authorities similar to those in the past.” – page 2
“Over the past five years, various rightwing extremists, including militias and white supremacists, have adopted the immigration issue as a call to action, rallying point, and recruiting tool. Debates over appropriate immigration levels and enforcement policy generally fall within the realm of protected political speech under the First Amendment, but in some cases, anti-immigration or strident pro-enforcement fervor has been directed against specific groups and has the potential to turn violent.” – page 5
No mention of military personnel here either.
So what’s up with the CP? Is antinomianism dogma in that olde tyme religion of theirs?
When the current leadership has succeeded in bankrupting the working class, over taxing our businesses, destroying our stock market, diminishing our dollar and taking away our right to bear arms, FRANK BURNS will be wondering “How did this happen?”.
i think the patriot act is unconstitutional, if the citizenry would do their jobs and PROTEST, if the lobbyist are jailed, and the richest 5% who own 80% of the wealth, if WALLSTREET WHO CREATES nothing was closed, if we ENDED WARS and the deaths and $ costs, if we were AMERICANS AND ACTED SO THIS COUNTRY would again blossem. Trumps not a Hero. Bank bailouts-no, bail the People Out, after all We Create the Wealth, and we are denied healthcare, taxed to death, our jobs exported. Well Gee-Wiz. Left or Right wing, lets land on the MOON -and we did , Lets Raise our Voices To Our Politicans-our Reps, Our President .
Frank, this is your mom. You should shut up because I birthed a dork.
@#1 So I’m a threat to my country because I believe this nation has long ago overstepped the bounds of what the Constitution permits? It’s insane to consider myself a patriot because I want them to go back to what the words on the Constitution says, rather than how they choose to twist it?
Yes, the Boston Tea Party was a harbinger of a bloody revolution, but that was the Crown’s choice. Had they listened to the grievenences of the colonies, we wouldn’t have fought for our freedom and would probably still be part of the British Empire. It was the Crown’s decisions that led to that war, NOT the Tea Party.
Now, a government that has overstepped it’s authority, as perceived by many of us, is saying many of us who see it as such are potential right-wing terrorists, and the only insanity you see is in us considering ourselves patriotic?
I pray we never have a shooting revolution in my lifetime. I don’t think I’d like the results personally, regardless of the winner. Instead, I’d rather affect the chance through the ballot box and the soap box, not the ammo box. But remember that the Boston Tea Party is remembered as the beginnings of our fight for liberty. Without it, we would be subjects of a far more oppressive government than we currently have now.
Frank, there are plenty of people who would like to
the government of the US Changed. Like to see congressmen and senators pay for their health care and pay taxes. Revolution may be the only way to get it done and no that is not insane.
It’s unfortunate that the people who represent a danger to this country can’t see themselves clearly in the mirror. The Boston Tea Party was originally sprung against a government they saw as illegitimate, and it was the harbinger of a violent and bloody revolution. That any American would invoke this name today against the US government itself and consider themselves a patriot is insane.
