Editorial Note: This article was first published after it was learned that Vermin Supreme was removed from the list of candidates who qualified to appear on the Delaware state ballot. Several hours following that report, Supreme’s name was re-added to the list, along with that of his vice presidential candidate, Jonathan Realz. The original article has been updated to reflect this new information.
Presidential candidate Vermin Supreme’s name was suddenly removed from a Department of Elections list of candidates qualified to appear on the Delaware state ballot on Wednesday. His name was later re-added that evening along with that of his vice presidential candidate, Jonathan Realz.
Supreme was initially listed on Tuesday as the presidential nominee of the Conservative Party, with the list confirming his status as a qualified candidate. It further stated that he filed his nomination paperwork on Monday, August 12. However, at the time, the list only reflected Supreme and did not include his running mate Jonathan Realz, who is openly running with Supreme in places like Tennessee and Louisiana.
Around 3:00 PM EST on Wednesday, Supreme’s name had been removed from the list by the Delaware Department of Elections without explanation. The specific reason behind his removal was not provided; however, posts on X and Facebook by the Department of Elections, which stated that Supreme received the nomination of the Conservative Party of Delaware, remained online.
The Delaware Department of Elections defines “Qualified Status” for a federal candidate as one who has “filed for a federal or City of Wilmington office, offices for which background checks are not required by Delaware law.” The department further notes that candidate names appear on the list only after it is able to verify their legal address.
Since then, as of 8:00 PM, Supreme’s name was re-added to the list, along with that of his vice presidential nominee. Both candidates remain as the Conservative Party nominees. Independent Political Report reached out to the Delaware Department of Elections for information regarding the removal after it happened, but did not receive an immediate response.

I am a representative of the Conservative Party of Delaware and I can explain this. We received the completed nomination paperwork from Vermin Supreme before that of Jonathan Realz. We submitted each nomination as we received it so Vermin’s was listed first. Jonathan was submitted later so Elections removed Vermin from their site only to update the nomination to reflect the full ticket. I’m assured that all the requirements have been met and Vermin Supreme is fully ballot qualified in Delaware.
