Libertarian National Committee Member Shares Email Showing Joint Kennedy Victory Fund Soliciting Donations for Trump Campaign

A member of the Libertarian National Committee shared an email Thursday showing that the Kennedy Victory Fund, a joint fundraising initiative between the now-suspended Robert F. Kennedy Jr. campaign and the LNC, is raising money for Republican Donald Trump.

The email, shared via a screenshot by Region 3 alternate member Keith Thompson to the LNC public business list, shows the Kennedy Victory Fund soliciting donations for the benefit of the Republican nominee. Thompson further stated that he received the email directly from the Kennedy campaign that evening.

The email reads, “A lot of people are asking me whether they should still vote for me if they live in a red or blue state. What about swing states? The answer is simple. No matter where you live, I urge you to vote for Donald Trump.”

Thompson’s screenshot of the email includes a donation link that leads to the Kennedy Victory Fund website, where the collaboration between the Kennedy campaign and the Libertarian National Committee in forming the joint committee is clearly outlined.

Last month, Kennedy announced the suspension of his presidential campaign and endorsed Donald Trump in key battleground states. Since then, several LNC members have sought further clarification regarding the Kennedy Victory Fund or have attempted to rescind the party’s involvement entirely, with limited progress.

This week, LNC Secretary Caryn Ann Harlos introduced a motion to rescind the agreement, expressing concern about the changing circumstances following Kennedy’s departure. The motion was ruled “out of order and dilatory” by LNC Chair Angela McArdle; however, an appeal of the chair’s ruling has since been made, with Harlos maintaining that her motion is still valid. Neither the motion nor the appeal have yet to advance to a ballot.

Editorial note: Thanks to reader Actually for providing clarity surrounding the motion and the related appeal.

Notably, several other parties were involved with the Fund prior to Kennedy’s suspension; however, it remains unclear how many continue to be involved.

“The Mises Caucus for instance endorsed her, their leadership can have their heads roll over that decision.”

Hard agree. Whoever made that call needs to be booted out yesterday.

You kind of have to laugh in a sad way at how some people were completely co-opted serving an ulterior motive and months down the road it has all completely blew up in their face.

“I can’t help but point out that this is poetic justice for crooked Harlos and her circus of criminals and miscreants (Nanna, Darr, Redpath, etc.) conspiring with the Colorado SoS to illegally nominate Oliver-ter Maat against the LPCO’s express wishes, then trying to undermine and sabotage the joint funding agreement.”

Yeah, I blame everyone at the National Convention that voted for Harlos to have another term as National Secretary. The Mises Caucus for instance endorsed her, their leadership can have their heads roll over that decision.

While I am not happy about Kennedy endorsing Trump, much less bankrolling his campaign, I can’t help but point out that this is poetic justice for crooked Harlos and her circus of criminals and miscreants (Nanna, Darr, Redpath, etc.) conspiring with the Colorado SoS to illegally nominate Oliver-ter Maat against the LPCO’s express wishes, then trying to undermine and sabotage the joint funding agreement. That is what the LINOs sowed; this is what the LINOs reap. Serves them right!

Hi, Actually. You’re correct and I appreciate the clarification.

According to discussion at TPW, Redpath cosponsored an appeal of the ruling of the chair that the Harlos motion was not in order, not the motion itself.

I’m pretty sure his name is Keith Thompson, not Johnson.
