The Libertarian Party of Georgia has launched a fundraising contest inviting members to submit theme ideas for its 2026 state convention. The selected theme will be used to brand the event, which is scheduled for January 16–18 in Peachtree City.
The party opened the submission process this week, announcing on social media that members have until October 4 at 10:00 PM ET to enter their proposals. Contest rules outlined by the party require members to make a minimum $25 donation to submit their initial idea, which can then be supported by others for any amount. Themes cannot be named after any individual, living or deceased, nor can they incorporate copyrighted logos or images.
Submissions must also avoid profanity or what the party calls “poor taste.” All proposals will ultimately require final approval from the convention organizing team. The party has stated that donations will not be refunded under any circumstance.
As of Thursday, September 25, the party said it has received three proposals and invited members to continue submitting ideas. The current themes are Rebels Over Rules, Liberty Outshines the Duopoly Monopoly, and Make Georgia Gold. All three have raised less than $50 as of this afternoon, with initial member donations showing no clear preference.
Other details about the convention have yet to be announced, though the party is accepting early registrations to assist with planning. It has also indicated that it plans to host Libertarian National Committee leadership debates ahead of the party’s 2026 national convention in Michigan.
The party previously solicited suggestions for guest speakers in August, hosting a poll on Facebook and X that asked supporters to choose from a select list of individuals involved in the liberty movement. While no formal decision has been announced, early responses showed member interest in Ross Ulbricht, Catherine Bernard, and Spike Cohen.

How about “We denounce Chase Oliver”? He was a terrible candidate.
