The primaries are over in California and there’s good news and bad news.
The good news is that, as of this writing, almost 90k Californians voted for left-wing candidates (Luis Rodriguez, GP: 48,000; Me: 39, 000), but the VERY BAD news is that California had less than 20% voter turnout and the Top Two vote getters are both corporatist members of the establishment in every way.… Read more ...
The Washington Times has this story about Cindy Sheehan’s plans to run for Governor of California. Even though (as the story says) she was speaking to a Green Party audience, she will run as the Peace & Freedom Party candidate.

1,792 votes cast, Jill Stein received 1,223 of them, or 68%. Roseanne Barr, who had just entered the race in the last week, picked up 526 votes, or 29%. There were 35 votes for Kent Mesplay, and 8 votes for Harley Mikkelson
