As noted yesterday on IPR, Ron Paul filed a request with the Montana Secretary of State asking that his name be removed from the ballot as the Presidential nominee of the disaffiliated Constitution Party of Montana, deferring to national Constitution Party nominee Chuck Baldwin. As of today, the Secretary of State has responded that Paul should have made his request by September 5th and all but 5 counties have already finalized their ballots. Thanks to Ballot Access News.

“ne c’est pas?”
Gibberish. If you’re going to be a pompous asshole, at least learn the language: “n’est-ce pas”.
By “great,” you mean “retarded,” ne c’est-pas?
I found a great article today about how to vote for Ron Paul even if you don’t live in Montana.

Hope I am allowed to post a link.
Enjoy.
Ha! Ron Paul is still on the ballot and went through the motions of asking to be taken off. The GOP can’t have to excuse to cry about him now on in MT now. Perfect.
I like your website, btw, even if the opinions are out there.
The constitution party is the first party that I know about, running a reverse political campaign. Instead of trying to distinguish themselves from the competition, they are trying to say they are exactly the same.
If they really are Libertarians, why start another party that does the same thing as the 37 year old Libertarian party, with its established organization and ready made membership lists?
I’ve never seen anything like it, rather than show their differences, they claim to be the same. Its absurd on the face of it, they aren’t the same at all.
And, its a bit dishonest to be frank. rather than build their party on the merits, they want to inflate their vote counts by confusing some people into thinking they are libertarian.
Why bother? Midgets at war…good grief.
Thanks Richard, I made my title less definitive but I think “As of today” gives me wiggle room in the article.
Actually, I have altered my post to say that the decision is still not final.
Montana has a Republican Secretary of State. I imagine that if it had been possible to get Paul off of the ballot, he’d have made sure it happened.
OTOH, if the Democrats wished to replace Biden with Clinton in all 50 states (as may yet happen) — no problem!
A few elections ago, when New Jersey Democrats wanted to replace their Senate nominee (who was polling low) with Lautenberg — no problem!
