I would say his ideas are a mix of libertarian, paleoconservative and New Right, and seem to be evolving gradually in a libertarian direction.

He certainly does not seem nearly hawkish enough, or sufficiently in favor of taxes and spending, to describe as a neoconservative – but he is not, at least yet, a hardcore libertarian on these issues, either.

If Barr is a neoconservative, the word has lost its meaning. (Likewise, if he’s a libertarian, then that word has lost its meaning.)

If someone votes for the PATRIOT Act twice, the Iraq War, and opposes peoples’ rights to do what they want with their bodies, are they neoconservatives?

Barr was never a neo-con. He was just a Republican.

Clearly some still haven’t moved into reality and realized Barr is a true libertarian promoting libertarian ideals.

Bob Barr is still a neo-con, the only true libertarian running is Charles Jay. Find out more at CJ08.com and join our yahoo group at groups.yahoo.com/group/CharlesJayforPrez/.
