January 5, 2009 – Home With My Parents
Last night I got to spend time with my parents and tell them all about what happened. I’ll make a full report to you on next steps when I’ve recovered. Thank you for all the kind messages. I read everything.
It’s clear that our movement for peace and justice must not end. We all are needed and doing nothing is not an option.

Reported on alternative media Grit TV today that roughly 100 lbs of explosives has been fired from Gaza toward Israel in the past 12 months. Over 100 TONS has hit Gaza the past 12 days. The dead babies, toddlers and children is SICKENing. Thank you C.M. for trying to do something…
Green:
More education spending will do nothing.
Healthcare? For what? We already spend more than states do that have state-run healthcare.
“preventing home foreclosures” preventing EVERY home foreclosure? What an idotic idea.
Yeah, I’m on board with “developing green energy.” The military needs to begin the transition.
The US government squanders hundreds of billions of dollars each year on militaristic policies that are not making anyone safer. True security comes from living peacefully, within the Earth’s limits, and ensuring that everyone’s basic needs are met.
Sign the petition for a Secure Green Future from GreenChange.org. We’re telling President Obama to cut military spending at least 70% and invest the money saved in education, health care, preventing home foreclosures and developing green energy. http://tinyurl.com/7hywk3
What about Leo Ryan, one of the greatest members of Congress in history?
“Barr and Baldwin should have gone with her.”
No, they shouldn’t have. I support the cause, but real politicians don’t do this sort of thing. McKinney is viewed as loon for a reason.
However, they should have definitely issued statements of condemnation.
Indeed.
Add Ralph Nader, and it would have sent a powerful message. Even more so if some major party presidential primary candidates/members of Congress joined.
Good for her!
Barr and Baldwin should have gone with her.
Good job Cynthia.
