2008 Constitution Party Presidential Rivals To Speak At Same Conference

In 2008 Chuck Baldwin and Alan Keyes were the main two contenders for the Constitution Party’s presidential nomination. Baldwin won with a 2-1 majority and afterward Keyes refused to endorse Baldwin. Keyes later formed his own party.

Now Baldwin and Keyes are slated to appear, and speak, at the same convention. They are listed as the two keynote speakers of the event, which is to be held in Denver, Colorado.

Former UN Ambassador Alan Keyes and Pastor Chuck Baldwin are keynote speakers for the Faith and Liberty Conference on July 24, 2010. The conference will provide an in-depth, non-partisan look into the global economic crisis that threatens the sovereignty and stability of the United States through a Biblically sound lens of truth.Other speakers include: financial publisher Don McAlvany, privacy expert Dr. Katherine Albrecht, banking whistleblower George W. Hunt, Pastor and Lawyer Tim Philibosian, Veteran Tracey Harmon and Master of Ceremonies Darrel Rundus. They’ll provide timely and useful information on how to prepare for upcoming economic, political and spiritual changes in the United States. Our speakers have a firm understanding of the complex issues our country faces and can communicate and provide a Christian perspective on those issues.

The website for the conference can be found here.

Jerry is referring specifically to California–a state party which Keyes maneuvered to steal from Baldwin.

Baldwin was on the ballot in 37 states. Keyes was on in 3. Baldwin also WON the convention battle.

The AIP of California was part of the Constitution Party. Indeed it had been one of the founding affiliates of the CP in 1992. The AIP’s central committee was dominated by loyalists to the CP and supporters of Chuck Baldwin–the party was hijacked by Alan Keyes supporters who refused to abide by the convention.

and no, I have not voted for any California candidates, nor have I promoted them, really, other than to say which ones I think are better.

Before you start calling people “lying pricks”, you should do two things: 1.) Attain a decent grasp of the English language and 2.) Get your facts straight.

FACT there is no ballot access California Constitution Party

FACT there has never been a ballot access California Constitution Party

FACT I was among the first to warn West Coast space cadets that Pastor Chuckie Baldwin would not be on the November ballot. *

FACT Baldwin never owned that ballot, never, no matter what you say ……..

FACT Your Elmer Gantry buddies are great at turning potential allies (per my experiences with the fascist Israel First Jewish Zionist cabal [John Dennis Coffey, John Blare {formal state complaint and attempted law suit}, John Bambey and Valli Sharpe Geisler {attempted civil trial} ] ) into adversaries!

FACT the national Constitutional Party still claims to control California and a ‘pride of place’ of the vaunted ‘Third Place’ on the national scene! OUT AND OUT LIE!

Under the current establishment abuse and cultural non system, I personally find ‘3rd Place’ equivalent to a heart breaking fourth place in the Olympics or runner up in pretty much any thing else.

If you do not wish to be called a liar then start religiously and pains takingly telling the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth.

Is it true [like constant liars Cody Banks and Doctor Goo Goo] that your middle name is ‘Making it Up As You Go Along’ ?????????

Like so many other times in my life, I stand by my state ment. You are a constant liar!

I hope Baldwin and Keyes stand together and announce that they are leaving their political parties and going independent. Then they can run for President as a ticket in 2012 and will probably win.

The AIP State Central Committee on June 27, 2008 voted to affiliate with the America’s Independent Party.

Keyes does not steal. You said that the AIP
Central Committee was supporters of Chuck
Baldwin. Where were you on April 26, 2008.

The AIP had 64 votes in Kansas City. 80 %
went to Dr. Alan Keyes. I was the elected head
of the California delegation and ran the poll
    with Mr. Deemer.

The event of April 26, 2008 was not binding on
the AIP. That is why the AIP Convention picked
the ticket of Dr. Alan Keyes (of Maryland) and
Dr. Wiley Drake (of California) as the party ticket on July 5, 2008 at the Auditorium of the
California Secretary of State Building in Sacramento. Even Don J. Grundmann was at that convention because he was a National Committeeman.

Also note that Jim King vote went to Dr. Alan Keyes in April 26, 2008 at the Kansas City CP
    Convention.

Also note the AIP affliliated with the U. S. Taxpayers Party in 1992 (not the Constitution
Party). AIP formed in 1967 and became ballot
qualified in 1968 and been affiliated with many
parties over the years. The CP is past history.
Now we are in the America’s Independent Party
    of Fenton, Michigan .

The AIP did back Chuck Baldwin in 2004 in second spot, then he turned on Mr. Peroutka at the lockout. Even among the 20% that did not
support Alan Keyes at Kansas City the overriding issue was Baldwin turning on Peroutka during the lockout. If Dr. Jerome Corsi ran in Kansas City, I do not think Baldwin
would have any votes from California.

    Sincerely, Mark Seidenberg, Vice Chairman,
    American Independent Party

“FACT there is no ballot access California Constitution Party”

I’ve never claimed there was. Are you arguing with ME or yourself?

“FACT there has never been a ballot access California Constitution Party”

    Again, never claimed there was.

“FACT I was among the first to warn West Coast space cadets that Pastor Chuckie Baldwin would not be on the November ballot. ”

Good for you. I was also one of the first–I found out about 25 minutes after the convention voted that California wanted Keyes instead of Baldwin.

“FACT Baldwin never owned that ballot, never, no matter what you say.”

State parties own their ballots. 3/4ths of the AIPs Central Committee wanted to put Baldwin on the ballot. However, the other faction was recognized, wrongly, by the Secretary of State.

“FACT Your Elmer Gantry buddies are great at turning potential allies (per my experiences with the fascist Israel First Jewish Zionist cabal [John Dennis Coffey, John Blare {formal state complaint and attempted law suit}, John Bambey and Valli Sharpe Geisler {attempted civil trial} ] ) into adversaries!”

I literally haven’t the slightest clue what you are talking about here…I’m honestly lost.

“FACT the national Constitutional Party still claims to control California and a ‘pride of place’ of the vaunted ‘Third Place’ on the national scene! OUT AND OUT LIE!”

The National CP maintains that the California SoS decided wrongly and are currently litigating over the issue. This is very similar to your dispute with the Reform Party folks–you clearly think the party was wrongly stolen and hijacked by them–so this is an issue you ought to understand just fine.

“If you do not wish to be called a liar then start religiously and pains takingly telling the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth. “”

Yea, I am. I just disagree with your understanding (or lack thereof) of what went on in this fiasco.

    (A) and you would think so

    (B) and I am a former Quirk and Grundmann supporter, strong(ly) but with reservations (lots of them)

    (C) Reform Party, I was raked over the coals big time by big time national folks (such as Rodney Martin, once of Arid Zona now in California).

Later he (and other Lake critics and John Blare fans and even hand maidens on the ‘USS Liberty’ death of the national blog and print house organ) asked for forgiveness, admitted that every thing I said was either true or came to pass, and that Blare was now Mister Poo Poo!

(With reservations) I was immediately aware that some thing was very rotten in Sacramento from a rotten group of third party activists.

Part of my early awareness was the found out lies of one John Dennis Coffey, conspiring with Der Jewish Nazi Blare before and during the great ballot box robbery. (Often at my abode and with my computer ………..)

Having observed the $12.5M strong box robbery (liars and thieves Patrick and sister Bay Buchanan at Long Beach in 2000) I kinda expected it from (so called) reformers.

    (D) The more Grundman and Quirk preached and screeched at me, the more I listened to the other side. The stranger (as in mental illness) they got, the more I listened to the other side.

I already admired Edward Noonan for a number of reasons. He, and the two Marks, are not perfect, and neither am I, but they are a light year (’bout six trillion miles / ten trillion Kilometers) ahead of the mobile padded cell pack of Quirkie Quirk and the ‘others’ in the truth telling department!

    (E) like the teacher whom ends up in prison (may be joining Grundmann in Leavenworth), you never could personally, specially convicting them (and you wanted to bend over back wards to be fair) but there was always an on going inappropriateness (such as Meg Whitman NEVER VOTING).

    (F) Have you (Trent Hill) even read the bovine escrecia these folks put out ????? Chelene Ward Nightingale does not even know how many children she has ………..

    (G) It did not take for ever for the ‘ethics’ light bulb to come on! Notice that FORMER CALIFORNIAN Space Cadet Captain Cody Bank Quirk (ran off by the less insane West Coasters) was and is sooooooooo sneakie and dishonest. And nutter Grundmann! I hope he saves time and pre addresses those post cards from Kansas. Oh, eventually he will have lotssssssssssss of time!

    (H) They screwed the pooch and easily convinced me, a former supporter, that they had a loose connection with planet earth and near zero ‘street cred’ itablity………

    (I) When one group is at least creditable (Rodney Martin and Ed & the Two Marks) and the others are looney toons (or at least grossly dishonest) the decision gets real easy. This philosophy works both with RfP and AIP!

  11. Timothy Yung

As someone living in California and someone who admires both the work of Alan Keyes and Chuck Baldwin what concerns me is that many state officers in the AIP were denied to the chance to vote on whether or not to remain with Constitution Party. The original convention which was supposed to take part in a Denny Restaurant was canceled and many of the officers were not told about the new location. I hope that there can be a proper vote next time. I know that Alan Keyes and Chuck Baldwin were friends they still might be I dunno but I hope they can patch things up. My loyalty is not to a political party but I believe the Constitution Party is the best party on issues like NAFTA, WTO, free trade, immigration, national sovereignity, and pro-life. So I will be voting for the pro-CP candidates during the upcoming election.

  12. Mark Seidenberg

    Timothy Yung

You stated that “original convention which was

the AIP that claim they were not told that the Convention was designated by the State Central Committee at the Auditorium of the California
Secretary of State Building on July 5, 2008?

War is not pro-life.

  25. Trent Hill Post author

    Mark,

Again, don’t be a fool. I know you are familiar with exactly who I’m discussing. If not, you’ll become aware on June 8th. The Baldwin faction as in, those AIP members in CA who wanted to nominate Baldwin for President or who wished to remain as members of the CP nationally.
As for the “lockout”, that’s never a name I’ve heard for it before. If you’re talking about the Tampa issue, I’m not going over that again with you or anyone else–that horse has been beaten so many times.

    Red,

No one has ever suggest Baldwin himself wasn’t pro-life enough. The issue on Nevada should have been left to Nevada to deal with. California’s problem was it
had a Chairman Nancy Spirkoff that was pro-choice. What did the baby do, so it should be
murdered because of acts of its parents?

The SCC of the AIP objected to the honors placed on Spirkoff by CP who took the view it was o.k. to abort babies. The AIP on June 27,
2008, made the Constitution Party past history
when it joined up with the America’s Independent Party of Fenton, Michigan as it National Affliate.

Baldwin did vote at the Executive Committee of
the Constitution Party to give an award to Nancy
Spirkoff. Trent Hill what would you call that?

    Sincerely, Mark Seidenberg, Vice Chairman,

  28. Trent Hill Post author

    Mark,

The award was for advancing the Constitution Party nationally–it is the same award given to Donna Inanovich of Missouri in 2008. It has little/nothing to do with their views, and much to do with how much they promoted the party.

  29. Cody Quirk

    Mark,

Seriously, stop acting dumb by responding with more questions when people ask you a question, it makes you look like an idiot, and its annoying.

  30. Cody Quirk

    California’s problem was it
had a Chairman Nancy Spirkoff that was pro-choice.

= Favoring exceptions in the proper circumstances IS NOT being “pro-choice”, that argument makes as much sense as arguing that the Holocaust was fabricated, or exaggerated.

There’s no such thing as being 100% Pro-Life because if you’re opposed to exceptions to save the mother’s life when the baby’s life cannot be saved at the same time, then you favor letting the mother die just because you refuse to operate on her.

Its people like Scott Whiteman, John Lofton, Angela Wittman, and you that are the reason why ‘Roe v. Wade’ is still in effect; with your divisive tactics and exclusionary attitudes, your kind hampers pro-life efforts in America.

  31. Cody Quirk

I am aware of the Tampa issue. Baldwin voted to disaffiliate Nevada. What I wasn’t sure about was what exactly the “Peroutka lockout” was.

I have heard that Baldwin at one point stated he would support Peroutka in leaving the party, but later didn’t. It is the details I am not clear about.

But whatever the details, any reference to Baldwin not supporting Peroutka during the “lockout” is implicitly a pro-life criticism I think. I just find this funny coming from people who supported a crazed neocon warmonger.

    Hi Mark –

With respect, what do you think it gains you when you pretend you don’t know what “the Baldwin-allied faction” refers to? (FWIW, I think it would be the same group of people, more or less, either way so why does it matter?) Or when you are accused (I’m taking no position on the merits) of having a “fake phone meeting” and pretending that someone was claiming the phone was fake instead of the meeting? I don’t think you’re stupid, and I genuinely don’t understand why you want readers to think you are. How does it help your party to intentionally project such an image?

  37. Mark Seidenberg

Response – Wolfefan – You see here Mark SeidenRat making another comment/response as if you are a fool. He, as with Mark Robinson, prides himself on such weasel answers which from his view are clever and show his superior intellect. Treating others as if they are fools with such answers is a very common theme through his responses. He must make such type of comments because to tell the truth ( impossible for him ) he would have to admit the truth of his corruption which I have documented at TheCorruptionOfAlanKeyes.blogspot.com. In regard to ” image ” he only cares about his own ( his superior intellect from his own vantage point ) and nothing about that of the party since he is dedicated to destroying it per the orders of his ADL and SPLC handlers.

Don J. Grundmann, D.C. Vice-Chairman American Independent Party, California branch of the Constitution Party

  40. Rob

I do not mean to intrude. Is the party Keyes founded in 2008 after losing to Baldwin still around? I went to their websites and see that they post blog pieces but not much else.

  41. Don Grundmann

Rob – They are still around and will be activated by their handlers/controllers to a greater degree as 2012 approaches so that they can continue to fulfill their real purpose. The real original intent was that they would never do much. The idea was to attract conservatives via the charisma of Keyes and funnel off their energies away from developing any productive movement. The first part of that strategy was to work to destroy the Constitution Party and the second part was to form what would become a do-nothing ” party ” to dissipate the energies of conservatives. The real purpose of Alan Keyes is as a mole/spoiler within the conservative movement to stop it from being any real or future threat to the liberal wing of the Republican Party; the real controllers of that party. He is an agent of that wing of the party in conjunction with his supporters/handlers within the ADL and the SPLC. The corruption and real purpose of Keyes is discussed at TheCorruptionOfAlanKeyes.blogspot.com.

Don J. Grundmann, D.C. Vice-Chairman American Independent Party, California branch of the Constitution Party

  42. John

Hard to believe this is still a sore spot all around. I was a casual observer in ’08, but couldn’t understand why the CP members were so rigid that they passed on Keyes by a 2-1 margin. It’s the Constitution Party, not the No Entangled Alliance Party. The CP had it’s chance to be THE legitimate 3rd largest national party with a Keyes/Baldwin ticket. Keyes seemed a fit for the CP and the CP needed a name. I watched that crazy guy bash the heck out of Keyes right before the vote (yes, the CP convention was carried live on the net). Whoever that guy was, he was resposible for the CP never amounting to anything.

  43. Trent Hill

Howard Phillips was “that guy” and he is the founder of the CP. But the truth is, Phillips’ speech was a post-facto destruction of the Keyes convention campaign–those of us who opposed Keyes had already taken a headcount of votes and figured we had it by 2-1. After the Phillips speech we actually lost a handful of votes because some people thought it was too over-the-top.
I won’t comment on the rest except to say that if Keyes had won, the CP likely would have broken apart. The top two issues in the party are the pro-life issue and non-interventionism. Keyes didnt understand that, despite so many people telling him so.

  44. NewFederalist

It would be nice if the Constitution Party would revert to its previous name of the U.S. Taxpayers Party. That would clear the way for a real party to emerge from the Tea party movement that could use the name Constitutional Party and really make a mark on the political scene. Won’t happen but… it would be nice.

  45. Trent Hill

I never understood why they changed the name. They achieved a good deal of notoriety under the first name (because of Bob Smith switching parties and because they’d already been building name recognition for that name for 8 years when they switched) and then switched to a new name which really wasn’t THAT much better. Meanwhile, there are STILL people in many states registered into the US Taxpayer’s Party–here in Louisiana there are at least one hundred of them!

[c] and with the doom sayers prophetizing gloom after California’s Proposition 14 pasts and spreads to other localities, may be it won’t matter

Post Script: way to stand tall on the abuse from ‘No On 14’ Tobin. It seems you were totally undeserving of such behavior! I have had (minor compared to your harassment) a trucated similar experience from ‘Fair and Equal’ ……..

As usual, Lake doesn’t know what he’s talking about.

Only one state left in 2008, California, and even that is under dispute (i.e., in court). Texas, contrary to your assertions, has not disaffiliated–but it is going through a factional dispute.

Around 8 southern states met to discuss what to do with their anger with the National CP. A few of them discussed disaffiliation, the others shot it down (at least, that was the report I received). However, most of those affiliates are dormant, dead, and lacking ballot access.

  48. Prop 14 wins

Now keyes balwin whomever can run..in ca under prop 14 passage there will now be no more party bickering as anyone can run and not even show an affliation. Of course its nice to have backing of a party, but now its just not necessary and if thats the end of third parties its up to them to build a party name. The “affirmative action” way the ballot has been set up letting third parties always have a spot will be moot.

  49. Don Grundmann

Prop 14 wins – Anyone can run for President but only ballot qualified parties will have a Presidential ballot line. That is why the Robinson, Seidenberg, Noonan criminal gang ( working for Alan Keyes and their higher controllers of the ADL, Anti-Defamation League, and the SPLC, Southern Poverty Law Center ) intend to auction the ballot line of the AIP off to the highest bidder hence reaping minimally hundreds of thousands of dollars in profit. Not a bad outcome for deliberately filing false documents with the Secretary of State office to achieve that result. Corruption and lying are profitable. There is money to be made ( ” 30 pieces ” ) in treason.

At the next big California TEA party rally
Rand Paul should give a public endorsement
of Chuck Baldwin. I think this would help.
