Jerome “Jerry” Denham was a longtime member of the American Independent Party of California. He was also a candidate for US Congress in 2010, but he passed away shortly before the June 8th election in California.
Denham passed away unexpectedly several days before the June 8 primary election, where he was unopposed in his second bid for his party’s nomination. He also ran in the 2009 special election to replace Ellen Tauscher, who left her seat for a State Department post.
The American Independent Party on Thursday night selected Vincent May, an El Cerrito biofuels consultant, as the party’s new nominee.
May will run on Nov. 2 against Democratic incumbent John Garamendi, of Walnut Grove, and GOP nominee, retired peace officer and farmer Gary Clift, of Vacaville.
Denham was a colorful political figure in the East Bay, where he often appeared at local events wearing red, white and blue and handing out copies of the U.S. Constitution.
During the 2009 special election, the dapper Walnut Creek insurance salesman and financial planner campaigned with the vigor and enthusiasm of a much younger candidate.
He said at the time that he never intended to run for Congress and was grooming others to take his place. Denham founded the Freedom Coalition, an educational organization that taught people about the U.S. Constitution.
But his protégés weren’t ready, so he put his own name on the ballot.

I just found this out on 1-7-2011.Im shocked.
I knew Jerry Denham. He was the person who invited over to his house and tried to get me to become his protege back in 1998. He taught me about the Constitution and HOW our government SHOULD be operating.
I also helped Gordon Blake run against Ellen Tauscher because of Jerry. WOW, again Im shocked.

Prop 14 supporter – The unfortunate fact is that everything that Jerry Denham worked is under attack by Mark Seidenberg and the criminal organization that he is in. Pretending that this is not so only allows these criminals to both continue their attack and work to bring it to a ( their ) successful conclusion which will be the end of the 3rd party conservative movement to which they have already done incalcuable damage. Had Jerry lived he would now be under open attack by Seidenberg and his gang. He was a threat to their criminal enterprise and they are more than happy that he died.

Trent is right, the dueling Dons and Mark are wrong. This conversation should not have happened; this and the similar conversations that go on on Green Party and especially Libertarian Party threads are a poor reflection of the third party movement, and that they go on a thread of a dead person who by all accounts is a good person, is especially bad.

You call Jerry a ” friend ” and yet you know perfectly well that you, Robinson, and Noonan were going to betray him along with everyone else in the AIP by denying him the right to vote since he adamantly opposed your corruption. Regarding your other lie shortly after you betrayed the party I notified Diane that her name was on your ” National Committee ” list. She stated that she had never authorized such usage and subsequently called to have her name removed. Her request was ignored and months later I informed her that her name was still on the list. She called again to have it removed and was ignored yet again. The truth is that you, Robinson, and Noonan, as the lying rats that you are, used her name without permission to give credibility to your criminal enterprise. Now that she is supporting the REAL AIP of non-corruption you have tossed her out.

Diane Templin has not been “thrown out of the AIP”, she just resigned from the National Committee before her term ended.

Jerry Denham was astounded and completely disgusted by the total, utter, and complete corruption of Robinson, Seidenberg, and Noonan. He could not believe their total contempt for the normal functioning of the party, their criminal actions, and their hijacking of it to betray the party and the 3rd party conservative movement. If Jerry had lived Mark The SeidenRAT and MarkRAT Robinson would be treating Jerry just like the rest of the REAL AIP – selectively denying their vote and working to have a super early convention in order to provide a convenient excuse to justify their criminality. Mark The SeidenRAT is just crying, as he always does, crocodile tears. He would have treated Jerry like a dog if given half the chance. Notice also that Diane Templin has been thrown out of the AIP, even though she won the Attorney General nomination, because she supports the non-corruption REAL AIP of Chairman Jim King. to fill Mrs. Templin seat so he could serve as the
