This could be an interesting test of whether or not a celebrity is really what an alternative party needs to make a breakthrough. I have never been a big fan of hers but it should be interesting.

Yes. Rosanne has also expressed interest in James Ogle’s US Parliament project, so it will be interesting to see if she will make that a part of her campaign for the Green nomination.

Maybe she’ll ask Milnes to be her VP!

  4. It is good news for the Green Party that the well known and beloved celebrity: Rosanne Barr is a registered Green Party voter.

It is reported else where that the registered Green Party member Rosanne Barr also may have a new comedy TV show on NBC this Fall.

Either way the Rosanne Barr buzz is a plus for the Green Party.

Dr. Jill Stein, the Harvard medical school grad, housewife, and mother, has said publicly she likes the idea of Rosanne Barr’s involvement with the Green Party.

Dr. Stein has said she would welcome joint Green Party appearances with Rosanne Barr.

“The war on drugs is a war on poor people using street drugs waged by rich people on prescription drugs.”

    Rosanne Barr.

It’s just true. And sooo funny.

Maybe she’ll ask Milnes to be her VP!

No, he wants a libertarian woman to be under him, not a green woman on top of him.

    But that would be funny.

Heard here interviewed on Alex Jones a while back. Hard to know when she was just being funny and when she was serious.

I hope she is kidding around. I think Dr. Stein is a very good candidate for the Greens, and should get them better results than Cynthia McKinney did.

One bad Barr per minor party please.

I don’t know who Jill Stein is, I know who Roseanne Barr is. I’m not sure what makes Jill Stein more qualified than Roseanne to be President? Has Jill Stein been a governor or in Congress or something?

Sit up and pay attention people. Regardless of your personal views about Roseanne, past or present, the Lady knows her stuff and has some very valid ideas and a point of view that is refreshing to hear. President, eh probably not because it won’t be allowed but I say YEAH Go Roseanne!

“I hope she is kidding around.” – Have you read her platform and what she says she will do? It’s the most honest, real, no bullsh*t one I’ve seen in my life – with actual SOLUTIONS to problems.

    BARR 2012!

  12. Doctor Jill Stein is a medical physician from Mass. Thought ful position papers, but former shoddy campaign administration.

May be better on the 2012 organization. My buttons and bumper stickers [party pak] came BEFORE the MSM bull shit Status of the Union and her alt (day after) address, instead of a ‘day late’ …….

  15. Outstanding news ! There is LIFE left in the GP afterall! The “troops” need to energize on Ballot Access NOW !

I did notice while crusing in ’08 FEC records that Roseanne Barr was one of, if not the highest contributer to Cynthia McKinney in ’08, so I would say this is a GO!

RB could definitely make it interesting. There are multiple millions of single moms and middle age progressives very unsatisfied with “Clueless” Obama. She related with the lower middle classes through her TV show days also. Could Ms Barr provoke a solid protest vote ? Time will tell.

The problem is, as it always is, the corporate controlled media will probably attempt to blackout her campaign as they do all TP activity UNLESS it helps their bosses in someway! If the ballot access is there, who knows she might be willing to sink a few million of her fortune into the campaign to bypass the MSM and get her message out!

If she (and her staff) is smart, she has the name ID to announce on Leno or/and Letterman which could give her a BOOST! Slip by the media bias by setting up appearances all over the network talkshow circuit BEFORE she officially annouces. This must be done now before they know to block her. After they lock her in as a guest, she can make the rounds annoucing on EACH show reaching TENS of millions with the news and also her message. A very smart move on her part.

PRESTO ! Wish I could get the consulting fee on that now sound advice for her campaign! Oh well. Someone “slip” her that strategy.

Given the opportunity, I’d wager he’d accept either position if offered.

    Suggested campaign slogan-
“She may be nuts but she’s got guts!”

I actually think she may like that one.

If Rosanne was the largest contributer to McKinney’s Campaign, they will be a good team!

    Bill Hicks on Politics:

“I had a vision of a way we could have no enemies ever again, if you’re interested in this. Anybody interested in hearing this?
It’s kind of an interesting theory, and all we have to do is make one decisive act and we can rid the world of all our enemies at once.

Here’s what we do. You know all that money we spend on nuclear weapons and defense every year? Trillions of dollars.
Instead, if we spent that money feeding and clothing the poor of the world, which it would pay for many times over,
not one human being excluded … not one … we could as one race explore inner and outer space together in peace, forever.” – Bill Hicks (1961-1994)
