    Top this.

Joe Dehn taking a picture of Guy Fawkes taking a picture of Jim Libertarian Burns dressed up as Patrick Henry re-enacting the “liberty-or-death” speech for the C-SPAN audience.

I should have included “dressing as a found father” in my convention floor drinking game.

  2. Brian Holtz

A C-SPAN camera was pointed at Starchild in his platinum blonde wig and white sport-bra-like top.

Meanwhile, Boston Tea Party presidential candidate Jim Duensing has recovered enough from his police-inflicted gunshot wounds to walk around the floor waving a Wrights For President sign.

Wtf is up with these BTP people, who claim to have their own party, showing up at another party’s events?

  4. paulie

Trent @10 I’ve heard some GOP make the same complaint about Libertarians involved with Ron Paul’s campaign…

  5. Trent Hill

Big difference between a MEMBER of a party getting involved in another party’s politics, and the NATIONAL CHAIR of a party doing so.

  6. AnthonyD

thanks, paulie and Trent. I gotta help a brother-in-law install a basketball pole shortly…

  7. Trent Hill

“basketball” pole. Look, if you have strippers coming over, don’t be coy. Just invite paulie.

Trent @ 12 wrote “Big difference between a MEMBER of a party getting involved in another party’s politics, and the NATIONAL CHAIR of a party doing so.” Of what do you speak? Obviously LNC members defacto ENDORSING a republican candidate, be it Rubio or Romney, is a problem. Is anyone distributing anything saying ROOT OFF LNC and LNCC?? (My leaflet is still up at http://carolmoore.net/libertarianparty/bootroot Print it and start circulating it NOW…

PeterO–he’d get creamed by the radicals if he did. And yet, they couldn’t care less if Duensing or Darryl Perry does so.

  10. paulie

Johnson should definitely be in the vicinity of the D and R conventions when they happen, although I’m sure they won’t let him inside.

    Trent @ 18,

I wish I did. That sounds like more fun. Although my nephews are all under the age of 8, so I don’t know how moral the stripper pole would be.

I guess Ruwart wouldn’t have a problem with stripper poles for 6-year olds, as long as it was voluntarily paid for and installed.

    Give it a rest.

@26 There was a motion to disband BTP last week. I’m presuming it failed since they elected officers etc.

  14. Trent Hill

It did fail, Paulie. Which is a shame–considering it consists of about 25 people who can barely be bothered to vote in online polls.

Assuming Johnson takes this on the first ballot, what are the chances the delegates ignore Gray for the V.P. spot and picks someone else?

  16. Trent Hill

Not high at all. Gray is well liked and the radicals don’t appear to have the organizational strength to get more than 45% or so.

  17. just hearing

Watching on C-SPAN, I overheard two LP delegates on the floor chatting about showing up @ the Nevada GOP convention this weekend with “big signs,” presumably to pimp Johnson/LP outside of the GOP’s venue.

(Ron Paul is speaking at the Nevada GOP convention later today from what I understand.)

  18. paulie

It could be close after Wrights in the debate last night for VP between Gray, Wrights.

Wrights nominators going negative may have worked against that tho.

  19. AnthonyD

Is that lack of organizational strength closely correlated with the quality at the top of the ticket this time around, or has there been an independent reduction in purist strength in the party?

  20. AnthonyD

An ex-governor for nominee. Who would have thunk it?

I hope Governor Johnson is ready for this fight.
