This article highlights the Constitution Party’s presidential candidate, Virgil Goode, and his campaigning in Virginia. Goode spoke at a Memorial Day event in Clarksville, Virginia.
On Memorial Day, Goode was one of the speakers at the annual Veterans Memorial Program in Clarksville. After the program, the former Congressman spoke about his campaign and his reasons for running. One of those reasons, he said, is the similarity between the two major candidates and the need for voters to have a choice.
“With Romney and Obama the choice is between Tweedledum and Tweedledee. For example, in balancing the budget, the Ryan budget, which Romney supports, is $600 billion in deficit. Obama’s budget is $1.3 trillion. And, they haven’t even identified the areas to cut in the Republican budget,” said Goode. “Both Romney and Obama say we’re going to cut the budget…five years down the road or 10 years down the road. The debt is already between 15 and 16 trillion dollars. You can’t wait that long. That idea is always to just give it to the next person and it’ll get fixed. Well, under Obama it certainly hasn’t gotten fixed.
Virgil Goode is in the midst of a petitioning effort in Virginia in order to get he and his Vice Presidential candidates’ names on the ballot in his home state.

“With Romney and Obama the choice is between Tweedledum and Tweedledee”….
I agree 100% with Mr. Goode on this point, and many disgruntled Democrats and Republicans alike may flock to a “Third Party” banner in November, but as another observer has mentioned, they may “flock back” to their party roots on election day….. Now that maybe true, but then again, but maybe not, either. Maybe not….
