Darrell Castle talks about the trial of Bradley Manning which starts today. Manning is charged under the Espionage Act and with aiding the enemy. Castle was the 2008 vice-presidential nominee of the Constitution Party and is considering seeking the CP’s nomination for president in 2016.

Yeah, I read all those comments and they are saved. My only comment is wow. Because of people like him I am completely alienated from the CP Illinois. It’s basically just neocons flooding in from the state GOP because they view it as too liberal on social issues.
Of course there are great people, genuine constitutionalists in the IL CP like Randy Stufflebeam. But Don and his comrades have cast the CPIL in a really bad light for me. And my God, their Bible-thumping theocratic and ridiculous way of thinking outright scares me.
I’m happy to be a Libertarian.
This is completely ironic because Don Stone got in a serious facebook fight with Joshua Fauver over this issue, since Don views Manning as a vile traitor and Joshua thinks he’s a victim, and the argument ended up with Don threatening to physically beat up and do other things to Joshua.
I read part of that thread and what Don was saying to Joshua was a hundred times worse then Don Grundmann’s threats to me.
I think Josh still saved his comments. Not sure.
Some in the CP think he’s a traitor, especially in the Illinois CP. Oh God, it seems like it’s majority ex Rick Santorum fans here.
It’s interesting that Castle is supportive of Manning, who lived as openly gay before he joined the US army, considering Castle and the CP’s attitude toward lesbians and gays.
