I’ll be at the Libertarian Party of Alabama convention tomorrow (June 8, 2013). No word yet on a livestream, but I’ll post it here if there is one. For anyone here in B’ham, we will be at 2330 Highland Ave S. starting at 9 AM.
Scheduled speakers are LP National chair Geoff Neale, former LPA executive director and vice chair Mike Rster, Christina Tobin via Skype and Igor Gembitsky. Some other speakers were previously scheduled, but have cancelled.
Unofficial rumor is that Mark Bodenhausen, state chair for 9 years in two separate stints going back to 1999, is ready for another break and that current vice chair Leigh LaChine will run for chair. I’ve been on the LPA exec comm on and off since 1998; I’m off it currently and may or may not run for something tomorrow depending on how things shape up.
Other state LP conventions this weekend according to http://www.lp.org/event: PA and NC. We will cover PA live, and NC as well if we can.

Several hundred from other counties.
We are qualifying county by county. I have about 3,000 signatures in Jefferson county so far.
Will LP Alabama have ballot access in 2014? Or at least have write-in candidates? Gotta run candidates fellas.
Also, the LP Hawaii state convention is being held today. Probably only a handful of people there at best:

Mississippi state chair Danny Bedwell is giving a talk on constitutional taxes; this was not announced ahead of time.
Excellent about UCLA. I’ll be looking forward to it.
