But the not-so-bright congresswoman has caught the attention of a presidential candidate, Darryl Perry, who issued a statement on Monday criticizing the idea of a “new stimulus”.
In an editorial for the Independent Political Report, Perry wrote that “the worst part of this bill, as if the price tag weren’t bad enough, is that the bill as written does not include any spending offsets or revenue provisions.”…
…And then again, this is a generous projection, as the chances of the other two other proposals to become law are much thinner than the prospect of H.R. 1617 being signed one day by President Obama.
In other words, as Darryl Perry put it, “This bill, if passed, will add over $227 billion to the federal debt over the next five years, based on current projections; and that’s on top of whatever amount will already be added!”
H.R. 1617 targets programs that were already funded by President Obama’s stimulus package. It includes hundreds of thousands of construction jobs, new health care providers, and additional early childhood workers. Over a billion dollars would also be spent on fictitious jobs for teenagers to work in “local parks”. Even better, $52 billion are also appropriated by the bill to the “Neighborhood Heroes Corps”, which includes teachers and police officers…
…This statement by the recently-announced presidential candidate brought some support from libertarian circles. After reading the editorial, Joseph Wendt, a candidate for the vice-chairmanship of the Libertarian Party of Florida said “I can see myself backing Darryl Perry in 2016.”
Darryl W. Perry announced in March his intention to seek the Libertarian Party’s nomination for the presidency in 2016. Considered the first serious Libertarian running during this election cycle, Perry has already made the news by announcing he would only accept donations in the form of alternative monies, such as Bitcoin, Litecoin, and precious metals.

“Fictitious”? I’m no Obama supporter, but what is fictitious abt these jobs? And why “local parks” in quotes? He doesn’t believe local parks actually exist?
I’m against this “stimulus” plan because it is too small. A real federal jobs and development program would be more like a trillion dollars, and not to banks or wall street. Nationalize banks, tax derivative trading and use the money to fund it. If you want to gamble in the stock exchanges, a cut is taken out in a fee or tax, right off the top.
If they are going to borrow money from foreign companies I’d hope they’d do a GW bush version and just sent checks to the individuals.
