U.S. Marijuana Party has Cris Ericson in Vermont. Runs every cycle and hasn’t broken thru yet. Vermont Progressive Party has several Reps and 2? state senators. Maybe, they can back her, or not.

Loretta Nall used to have a US Marijuana Party here in Alabama also. They were never on the ballot though. She was mostly identified as Libertarian but we were not on the ballot either.

I think Sex and Marijuana is a better name than just Marijuana alone. Guns and Gold makes it a more complete picture, but then it’s starting to sound like either a shopping list or a rap video plot.

The US Parliament organization has listings for a Marijuana Party and a Pot Party. I asked Mr. Ogle if it would be possible for them to merge, and he said that they were founded by two different groups of activists aat two different times and he didn’t think it was his place to ask them to come together. There is no Sex Party, although there is a Pizza Party. (Sorry for bringing US Parliament up here since it’s supposed to be on its Open Thread only, but I felt it was on-topic enough here).

Sex Party USA has a nice ring to it. Would be good to have a party focused on sex issues. I’d get something going on it, but I really don’t want to run against other worthy candidates. Perhaps primarily as an activist party, occasionally running candidates when there is no third option on the ballot?

Please refrain from any further discussion of Mr. Ogle and his fantasy parliament game. I shouldn’t have to say that at this point, but I will make a one time exception. And it’s not on topic in open thread either, only in the segregated thread.

It could be used as a guerilla tactic to mock certain politicians. Especially the hypocritical self-righteous ones when they get caught in scandals.
