Edward Snowden’s revelations of the NSA’s mass surveillance programs have spawned one of the most successful political coalitions in modern American history, aimed at slapping back Big Brother. Hundreds of diverse political organizations — as well as countless American citizens — are banding together to oppose the government’s egregious violation of our Fourth Amendment rights.
The Libertarian Party urges you to join and support The Day We Fight Back (against mass surveillance) described below. Please help this effort go viral and plan to call to your congressmen on Tuesday, Feb. 11, to fight back against mass surveillance. If you own a website, please help by posting the banner below.

This Tuesday, Feb. 11, is The Day We Fight Back (against mass surveillance), and we need your help.
We understand the United States was founded upon a Constitution that protects our critical rights and is governed by the rule of law. Yet for years, the NSA has exploited secret legal interpretations to undermine our privacy rights — thus chilling speech and activism, and thereby threatening to subvert the very underpinnings of our society itself.
This Tuesday, Feb. 11, dozens of major websites and organizations are joining together to demand an end to mass surveillance. We’re calling it, simply, The Day We Fight Back, and we need your help to make it as powerful as possible.
On Tuesday, Feb. 11, we are mobilizing thousands to call on Congress to:
Pass the USA FREEDOM Act, which would end the bulk collection of Americans’ phone records and institute other key reforms.
Defeat the so-called FISA Improvements Act, which would entrench — and potentially expand — the spying.
Create additional privacy protections for non-Americans.
End to the NSA’s subversion of encryption and other data security measures.
We’re letting you know about it today because we need your help to make Feb. 11 all that it can be. We have built a banner that people can post on websites they run, in order to encourage their visitors to take action on the 11th.

Jill do you have other web browsers on your computer? I have Safari on mine. There are also Opera, Firefox, and Internet Explorer as well.
I’d experiment until I found one that worked.

Well, I don’t feel so bad, then, because I couldn’t do it. Oddly, I was able to add it to the two new blogs I’m working with, one of which is WordPress. I think that’s why I was so frustrated.

Funny you should ask. I can’t get Google Chrome to do it. If you can get it posted, Jed, please do. I was going to try it on my work computer this afternoon, but if you can help, please do. I should have been at the office an hour ago (we’re painting it, among other things). I’m sure it has do to with the fact that it’s a plug-in.
