Tennessee Libertarians are having their state conventions today. I hoped to be able to liveblog it, but was not able to go. If anyone in TN is able to provide live updates please do so in the comments here. The morning business session will include selection of delegates for the National LP Convention in Columbus, Ohio in June 2014.
We will endorse all local and state candidates who are running for office as Libertarians in Tennessee. Any candidates are also welcome to speak. We are also inviting all declared candidates who are seeking the Libertarian Party nomination to speak during the afternoon session. Speakers and a detailed agenda will be announced when available.
Please make your reservations early. We will need to finalize the meal arrangement with the hotel a couple of weeks before the convention.

Student Registration – $25 (Includes Lunch and Afternoon Speakers)

Gary Johnson
Gary Johnson, who has been called the ‘most fiscally conservative Governor’ in the country, served two consecutive terms as Governor of New Mexico from 1995-2003. Governor Johnson brings a distinctly business-like mentality to governing, believing that public policy decisions should be based on costs and benefits, rather than strict ideology.
Geoffrey J. Neale- National Libertarian Party Chair
Geoffrey Neale served as Chair for the Libertarian Party from 2002 to 2004 and was re-elected to Chair in May 2012. He was a member of the Libertarian National Committee for five terms and served two 2-year terms as the state chair for the Texas Libertarian Party.
In stark contrast to the top-down management of the Democratic and Republican parties, Geoff Neale ran for Chair on a promise to focus the Libertarian National Committee on the needs and wants of party members; to make operations appropriately transparent to members; and to conduct LNC meetings in accordance with the party’s bylaws.
Geoffrey Neale was the Operations Manager for the 2004 Michael Badnarik Libertarian for President campaign, and served as an officer for a 1980 California initiative to restrict the sales tax. In 1988, Neale worked with the Ron Paul Libertarian for President campaign.
Sharon Harris- President Advocates for Self Government
Sharon Harris serves as the President of the Advocates. An award-winning speaker, she also conducts our communication training seminars and administers our guest speaker program. Sharon has been active in the libertarian movement for more than 30 years, including running campaigns and running for office herself.
Michael Maharrey – National Communications Director The Tenth Amendment Center
Hailing from Lexington, Ky., he’s extremely proud that his home state originated the Principles of ’98 laying the groundwork for state nullification of unconstitutional acts, and he’s the author of Our Last Hope – Rediscovering the Lost Road to Liberty, a historical, philosophical and moral case for nullification.

My son and my brother both have initials of MS.
MS could be Matt Smith, one of the actors who played Doctor Who. Or NY Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez. Or Morgan Shepherd, the oldest driver ever to start a NASCAR Cup race. Or Maria Shriver, former first lady of California. Or Matt Serra, retired MMA fighter.
Or Moe Sizlack?
Maybe Jill meant Mark Seidenberg?

But I still have many sources in the LP that tell me things, too. It’s a nice benefit of being respected in certain circles by people in the LP that actually matter and are accomplishing useful things (or at least trying to).
And it had everything to do with the initials alone. Employment has nothing to do with it.
Despite the lack of visible presence, I still keep an eye on things.
Didn’t say you sent emails. I speculated that one of the many people that knows both you and Mike figured you must have meant him because of the “looking for a job” dig, the initials, and the fact that he has posted quite a few comments here in the past and that the hypothetical mutual acquaintance would know that you know that Mike is (presumably) looking for a job, and that person emailed him. I know, I know, too far fetched.
I didn’t send emails regarding the troll, and I agree that many people have the initials ‘MS’. I do suspect I know who the troll is, but I’ve suspected a couple people and then decided no.
I’m going to try to continue ignoring him/her.
I don’t believe you are any closer to catching the troll (if it’s even one troll, it may be several) than when you started and the endless speculation based on extremely thin evidence is more than annoying.

This is really strange that the mention of the initials “MS” brings Michael Seebeck crawling out of the woodwork. “MS” could be initials for a lot of people.
I accused Seebeck of being the troll a while ago, and he denied it back then. I have not seen anyone bring his name up as the troll since then. Perhaps somebody discussed it in an email, but then this would bring into question that if it was in an email, how would Seebeck know about it? If it was mentioned in an email, is the NSA monitoring the emails of people who post here and fed the information to Seebeck that somebody accused him of being the troll?
Something strange is going on here.

I said a while ago that I suspected that the troll was somebody who was signed up as a writer at IPR, most likely one who is or was a member of the Libertarian Party, but it could be one of the other writers who has never been affiliated with the LP as well.
