Libertarian Party Prepares For New Logo Design Contest

Libertarian Party

Fellow Libertarians,

The Libertarian Party has the strongest platform of any political party, the most principled candidates of any party, and the most beneficial vision of any party. I think it’s time that we had the best logo and branding of any political party.

In a few days, we will begin a logo design contest, using the 99designs platform. Designers from all over the country will compete for both the prize money and the prestige of having created an internationally recognized logo.

Following this, we will be updating our website, to make sure our website is just as attractive as our platform is powerful.

If you feel, as I do, that the beauty of our logo and website is a critical part of our outreach, please consider donating to support these efforts. Just click here or go to LP.org/contribute, and type “LOGO” in the comments section.

If you donate $100 or more, we will also send you one of our long-sleeve black libertarian T-shirts!

Available in S, M, L, XL, 2X, and 3X.

Don’t forget to type “logo” in the comments section and your shirt size too!

In Liberty,
Arvin Vohra

The logo itself you can probably get for free. Retooling everything that has the logo on it may be a bit more complicated, or at least expensive and time consuming, although it can be done.

Refreshing the logo, like purchasing an office, is a project that appeals to some people and doesn’t appeal to others. That’s why there’s a dedicated fundraising email for the logo.

No, it’s actually about creating a new logo, which could well (but not necessarily) be another version of the statue of liberty – new logo does not have to mean new concept, but it could. It will depend on who enters the contest and what the judges think. One step of the judging will be self-selected, then the committee created by the LNC for this purpose will weigh in, and then the LNC as a whole.

Perhaps this contest has less to do with finding a new logo, and is more about creating a fun activity to generate conversation and interest.

Many of the new logo proposals are sure to feature the Statue of Liberty.

This is an incredible waste of time and money.

As the IPR reader most likely closest to the original (she’s less than five miles from me), I say stick with the Statue of Liberty and concentrate on increasing membership, revenue, media attention, oureach, candidate recruitment and other little things like that.

Perhaps the party should spend it’s abundant resources on finding a psychic medium or channeler to contact Thomas Nast from beyond the grave and let him design the logo or select the animal to represent the LP. He did a fine job with the Democratic donkey as well as the Republican elephant and even the Prohibition camel!

Seriously, I think it’s high time, the LP adopt the LIBERTY PENGUIN as the one true animal mascot of the party!

The liberty bear a great a history , this is the symbol of Independence of women.

maybe the logo should be Sisyphus, as the party in many cases has been trying to push a rock up a hill for 40+ years
