via Virginia Daily Press:
He’s got an encouraging campaign slogan, given our ever more bitter partisan bickering: “Live and Let Live.”
His family name, alas, is less upbeat.
Carl R. Loser is the Libertarian Party candidate for the state Senate’s 10th district, which meanders its way from Richmond’s western neighborhoods to the rural reaches of Powhatan County. That’s the seat now held by state Sen. John Watkins, R-Powhatan, who is retiring this year. It is also probably the No. 1 target for Democrats who hope to regain control of the state Senate in November.

I agree Andy, that is a great slogan. Most people who hear it will agree with the basic idea. As for his name, some people will vote for him so they can read the headline: “Loser Becomes a Winner.”
“Live and let live.” is a very good slogan, and good branding. More LP candidates should use that, it clicks with people.
Not only is he a good sport about it, but I think he’s going to make a good candidate. Check him (and our other Virginia candidates) out via the LPVA candidate page.
I’m assuming that if he weren’t a good sport about it, he would have taken a different name a long time ago, or at least before running for office.
Loser was next to me the whole time I was attending Dr. Sebastian Gorka’s CPAC panel ft. Gary Johnson. I’m pretty sure I heard him joke about his name when he spoke to Johnson, so at least he’s a good sport about it.
I can see a lot of jokes coming from this one.
