Reason’s cartoon-journalist Peter Bagge’s latest report “Life Out on the Political Fringe” (in his usual illustrated graphic-novel style) explores his attempt to work with both the Libertarian Party and Ron Paul Republicans in hyper-progressive Seattle.
Points of interest include Bagge’s perspective on the Libertarian Party of Washington convention, and the mutual hostility between Libertarian Party activists and various factions within the GOP. The four-page comic also covers the humorous disappointments of becoming a Republican precinct committee officer, despite not being a Republican, and the decline of Ron Paul’s Campaign for Liberty.

Poorly managed volunteers, worthless C4L meetings, a new LP state chair with some potential… I can tell you from first hand experience that Peter Bagge absolutely nails the Seattle freedom scene here.
