Former New Mexico Gov. Gary Johnson is fired up and traveling the country this year, spreading the gospel of medical marijuana, full legalization, and his new company Cannabis Sativa, Inc.
The CEO of the publicly-traded marijuana company releases his first product — a hemp supplement — this Spring. Simultaneously, the 62 year-old Johnson says he’ll seek the Presidency of the United States in 2016. Johnson debated drug warriors at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) in February and is following it up with a keynote at the Oregon Medical Marijuana Business Conference in Eugene, Oregon March 15.
In the first of several interview excerpts edited for space, the candid, long-shot candidate calls out potential Republican frontrunners for their seemingly softened stance on marijuana. “It’s just as much bullshit as ever,” he said.
