Two Current Movies Regarding Topics Discussed by IPR Readers Available for Free Online

Edward SnowdenI am breaking IPR’s tradition of only posting articles having to do with alternate parties or Independents with this article, but I think the information is important enough that I’ll do it this one time. We have talked for months about the degree of spying done by our government on citizens of this country, much of the information being revealed due to whistleblower Edward Snowden and the reporter who wrote about them, Glenn Greenwald. The documentary Citizen Four, directed by Laura Poitras, tells the story of these revelations, and actually won the “Best Documentary Feature” award at this year’s Academy Awards. The movie is available to be viewed online at this time at no cost.

The movie Citizen Four can be found here.

Another movie is available, called Bought. It discusses current topics such as GMOs, vaccines, and the pharmaceutical industry. This movie is only available for free download for a limited time.

Disclaimer: I haven’t had an opportunity to view either movie, and I’m not personally endorsing them. I’m simply passing along this information.

It is available legally on HBO/HBOGO/HBONOW for anyone who has access to those platforms.
