Tony, the people complaining about Johnson/Weld heavily overlap those who complained about Barr/Root.

Likewise, there’s a heavy overlap between supporters of Johnson/Weld and Barr/Root.

If you like Johnson, but hate Barr, you’re a rare bird.

    ” . . . . . . I mean for all the CP hate Baldwin is more libertarian on Nolan chart than Barr was. . . . . ”

Good reason . . . Barr was a joke and a disaster . . . for all those who complain about Johnson / Weld . . . do you remember Barr / Root???????

    Have a great weekend everyone!

I mean that’s respectable. But “gay marriage” isn’t exactly a libertarian position. Opposition to state marriage licenses is. It just comes off as a half measure to me. When I got married I shouldn’t have had to grovel to the magistrate for permission. I guess now gay people can grovel to the state for permission too. I had a friend who was able to legally immigrate here because they had been ‘gay married’ in EU and the ruling let him bring his husband back. I was happy for them but I don’t think it’s libertarian I think it’s pragmatism. The human side I totally get. But I guess supporting a state solution for an issue that was caused by the state ever being involved in the first place isn’t what I call libertarian. But I’ve first hand seen the human side of this practical solution positively effect people I care about’s lives so I have mixed feelings. But ultimately I don’t see that as being libertarian just politically expediency for a just cause.

But my point was I’ve seen tons of Nolan charts say tons of whacky things. I mean for all the CP hate Baldwin is more libertarian on Nolan chart than Barr was.

“Weld isn’t libertarian on a single issue. That’s not nitpicking. Trump in “libertarian conservative” on some Nolan scales I’ve seen.”

C’mon. The guy was for gay marriage at a time when it made him a pariah in the GOP.

Joy Behr’s face when he said automatic weapons have been banned for decades….haha..she has no idea what she is talking about…He should have said to her, that it disqualified her from talking about guns..hahaha.

Weld is terrible on the Nolan chart. Definitely not a libertarian. The guy has no business being a Libertarian Party candidate, or even being a member of the party. He’s a disgrace and an embarrassment. Weld should be kicked out of the party.

    Oh . . . for you nit-pickers . . . Did he say the word “libertarian” enough?

I thought he handled himself well other than PP comment. It’s not libertarian to fund it even if should be legal. Otherwise I thought he came off as honest and humble. Which is refreshing. If only he wasn’t running with CFR Weld I could vote for him or trust him.
