Utah Libertarian Attorney General Candidate Andrew McCullough has been endorsed by current Democratic Utah State Senator (and former Utah Democratic State Party Chair) Sen. James Dabakis.
The endorsement follows the withdrawal of Democratic Candidate Jon Harper who cited health concerns for his last-minute decision (it is now too late for the Democratic Party to substitute a candidate, other than as a write-in, on the November ballot). McCullough faces Republican AG Candidate Sean Reyes and American Independent Party candidate Michael Isbell.
On his Twitter feed, Senator Dabakis wrote:
“Jon Harper would have made a great AG. I am supporting Libertarian candidate Andrew McCullough.”
Long time Libertarian activist and current Utah Libertarian State Party Chair McCullough is a well-respected attorney practicing in both Utah and New York. He has been a member of the Utah State Bar since 1973; the New York State Bar since 1986; the United States Tax Court since 1984, the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals since 1979, and the United States Supreme Court since 1979.

Great news.
