Aaron Starr, who lost a close race for the Oxnard City Council last November but won a ballot measure to overturn the city’s wastewater rate hike, was interviewed on KEYT-TV, the local ABC affiliate. He explains his reasons for planning to recall elected city council members who recently voted for a rate hike.

A fine diea. If they are recalled, how are they replaced? Simultaneous election?
Based on results, I would guess by closed auction.
Doesn’t sound to me like recall would be unfortunate at all, but just what they deserve. Go Aaron!
Good idea, but recall petitions require more signatures in California than do initiative and referendum petitions, so they are not easy to get on the ballot (I’m pretty sure the same is true in every other state that has a recall process).
