I would be enthusiastic about a Sarwark campaign for president or an office here in or representing AZ.

Well, as of 2016 he was telling me that his wife would not let him run for a third term and only reluctantly agreed to be OK with him running for a second one. I seem to recall that the actual term used may have had something to do with performing surgery, presumably without anaesthesia. He has also told me he is not a fan of resigning midterm and sees being chair and running for president as a conflict of interest (which it is, since a chair should be a neutral arbiter as far as candidates seeking the nomination). And also iirc he told he wants to run for and hopefully win local office before he considers a national race. Of course, things change and we haven’t talked about any of it in a while, so you could be right. I do get the impression at this point that he is seeking another term in 2018, although I don’t know or remember whether that is official yet.

Paulie – “I’m not going to support Glenn Beck for the nomination”

    😀

and I don’t think Nick wants to run.

I don’t know if he’s even considered it as yet. I do get the impression he likes being spokesman, and he’s been getting demonstrably better at it. Whether or not the LNC adopts term limits will probably be a factor; if he has to step down as chair, I can’t see him just fading away.

It looks as though the 2020 Libertarian Party 2020 presidential candidate may be emerging…
