Anthony Dlugos: “Not having him around is no loss to the LP. His music sucks almost as much as his Hans Hoppe ideology.”
I just noticed that I made a mistake here. It was actually Andy Craig that said the following: “Not having him around is no loss to the LP. His music sucks almost as much as his Hans Hoppe ideology.”
Andy Craig or Anthony Dlugos, I like to be accurate, but it really doesn’t matter that much, as this probably could have come from Dlugos as well. Both are Gary Johnson and Bill Weld supporters. I’d take Eric July over either of them.

Excellent! This guy should run for political office some day.
Eric July: Marxist Professor Is Clueless on Economics
For many years, I’ve heard a lot of libertarians ask a) how can we get more black people into the Libertarian Party and movement, and b) how can we get more young people into the Libertarian Party and movement.
Well, here’s a guy whose is a really good recruiter for both categories.
Eric July: Libertarianism Isn’t Simply a Form of State/Government
The post from 717/18 at 20:37 is not from me. I am really sick of this asshole who keeps falsely posting things under my name. Somebody physically remove this imposter. Thanks.
I wish I could find the video, but Eric July is the same doofus who had the world’s saddest “mosh pit” at the Mises thing in NOLA. Then when Adam Bates, among others, made fun of him for it, Eric screwed his tinfoil hat on nice and tight and tried to blame Adam for an unrelated 30-day Facebook ban he got.
Not having him around is no loss to the LP. His music sucks almost as much as his Hans Hoppe ideology.
One of the things I like about IPR is that it always surprises me – a thread moving from a black libertarian to Christian rock
It could perhaps be construed as a mildly surprising turn if the guy didn’t self-identify as a christian…

I don’t have a video, but, I’ll say again: “Why I’m not a member of the Libertarian Party (or any other for that matter)
Because at some point a “member” of any group has to defer to the group- or have pejoratives thrown at them, publicly ostracized, vilified and attempts made at humiliating them to “force” the “member” to succumb.
This forum is THE perfect example. No I won’t quit visiting and no I won’t succumb and yes I’ll continue to point out the hypocrisy. I’ll still refer to myself, an Individual, as being “a” [l]ibertarian but I’ll be damned if I’ll spread the word or try to convince others to join the “Party”- the dogma I see here is NO different than the duopoly presents, it’s just dressed differently- pejoratives and dogma are pejorative and dogma regardless of what Party, or who, presents it.
What really confounds me is the statement I saw elsewhere from a libertarian arguing against conservatives: If your beliefs are that good why do they have to be forced on others- it seems to me you guys believe yourselves (or your “message” too weak) to combat the “fusion” IF it is that good. If not the dogma and pejoratives only serve to weaken it. If one stands in the rain one gets wet. If one stays under cover one only sees the wet- y’all really need some introspection and self awareness- it’s called being an adult which means aware of your own faults and trying to be a better person which isn’t better than others, but better as “a” person- the derision displayed here is what the Party needs to be shunned of- not the people who can be led in a different direction- but hey, I’m just a self educated outsider, what do I know.

One of the things I like about IPR is that it always surprises me – a thread moving from a black libertarian to Christian rock (I was a Rez Band fan back in the day) to Countess Bathory….
Welcoming the virgins fair, to live a noble life
In the castle known to all – the Count’s infernal wife
She invites the peasants with endless lavish foods
But, when evening spreads it wings, she rapes them of their blood
Countess Bathory
Countess Bathory
All day long the virgins sit and feast on endless meals
The Countess laughs and sips her wine – her skin doth crack and peel
But when nightime fills the air one must pay the price
The Countess takes her midnight bath with blood that once gave life
Countess Bathory
Countess Bathory
Living in her self styled Hell, the Countess dressed in black
Life’s so distant – death’s so near – no blood to turn time back
The castle walls are closing in, she’s crippled now with age
Welcomes death with open arms – the reaper turns the page
Countess Bathory
Countess Bathory
Wake me up when Eric July comes up with anything half as epic as Stryper’s “to hell with Satan
I believe that’s the hell w/ the devil:) Other than early Van halen and crue, not much of a fan of hair metal. DC Talk’s Jesus Freak was pretty kickin back in the day…
Bring it on. I don’t think he is any kind of libertarian
2 decades ago, people like him were doing the christian rock thing(of course, the devil has better music). It was a fairly sizable niche industry in its heyday. That’s what this “libertarian rock” stuff reminds me of.
Bring it on. I don’t think he is any kind of libertarian, and if your definition of libertarianism includes the likes of Hoppe and Molyneux much less actual nazis you are definitely doing it wrong.

Eric July is a solid hardcore libertarian, and it would most definitely be to the LP’s benefit to have him as a member. He’d make a great candidate for political office as well. I would love to see him rap dis his opponents.
We want to cut the red tape and empower the downtrodden to rise up through bottom up entrepreneurship. It’s not a politically impossible message. We are the grass that the red and blue teams tear up with their cleats.
As for Eric July he is far more alt right than libertarian anymore. He thinks nazis can be libertarian and calls real libertarians “lolberts.” The party is better off without him, even if he does have some decent rhyming skills.

I have been in the Libertarian movement since 1969. I have met thousands of Libertarians who would never join a political party. Plus most Libertarian are not joiners , they don’t need groups. I think the LP is one vehicle that does good. But we can’t win in the politcal world since The Government sets up the playing field and we want to take away free stuff.
