Dan Behrman: We Need Your Help!

2020 Libertarian presidential candidate Dan “Taxation is Theft” Behrman sent out the following release today about the fourth Libertarian Party of Kentucky debate scheduled for later today.

Tonight’s debate:

Tonight I will debate four other Libertarian presidential candidates.

But there is more to this story than just that.

Justin Amash, an elected US Representative has recently switched his party affiliation to Libertarian. He is still officially unannounced, but many within the party are pushing to give him the nomination.

There are several problems with this. First, he is not officially running and has mostly refused to debate other candidates. Second, while he does share some positions with the Libertarian platform, he is still very authoritarian.

However, tonight we have a chance to make a difference. During the debate, which starts at 8 PM Eastern time, a straw poll will open. That straw poll will determine who is going to debate Amash on Saturday night. I need your help to ensure I win that poll. We only need a few hundred votes to it.

The debate will be available here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J0qBGdgVkpI

We don’t have a link for the debate, but we WILL send another email tonight, as soon as we have. Please keep an eye on your inbox, starting at 8 PM Eastern time. Your vote MUST be cast during the debate in order to count, so we have a very small window.

Thank you so much for your ongoing support. We have been working hard and there will be some amazing announcements from us in the next couple of weeks.

“First, [Amash] is not officially running and has mostly refused to debate other candidates.”

Maybe request audio-only. Or take off your dopey hat. At least Vermin has the excuse that he’s a performance artist and perennial troll candidate.

“Second, while he does share some positions with the Libertarian platform, he is still very authoritarian.”

Justin Amash is “very authoritarian”? Are you trying to rob that word of its meaning?

I like the hat, but to each his or her own. Both Vermin and Behrman take off headgear when asked for debates, and hold their own just fine without it. And Vermin isn’t running a troll campaign this year. He did that when he ran in the D and R parties.
