Fake News on the March

We recently had an anomalous issue with a comment.  Fortunately, all comments on Independent Political Report are moderated, so the comment was intercepted.  None of you saw it.

Someone who has never commented before, using the email address of a very senior person at the No Labels group, surfaced and said that whenever we discussed the No Labels group we had to mention a series of items.  The items were a series of negative allegations about No Labels staff members being mistreated by staff, labor disputes, and the like.  None of the allegations appeared to be related to the merits of their  Presidential candidate, if they nominate one.  No evidence was presented that the allegations were true.

Our suspicions were aroused, so we contacted the very senior person at No Labels, who confirmed that the comment was a fake.  The comment went into the trash and was deleted. Some of you have noted a concerted series of critiques of No Labels by other parties, editorialists notably for cable/internet outlets, and the like.  The one was a particularly spectacular example of that sort.
