We find in the Wall Street Journal an extended article (paywalled) proposing that this year a third party may do better than in years past. The article covers as far back as the Wallace campaign a half-century ago. In discussing recent third party candidates, it says “by gadfly Ralph Nader and Green Party leader Jill Stein most prominently”, but of the third party that actually led all other third parties in the last three elections there is no mention. “libertarian’ is not recovered once in a search of that article.
If third parties are going to succeed, they need news sources that at least cover them. For that reason, we are advancing with Independent Political Report. So soon as the DNS shift is complete, we will be moving the internal politics coverage to Third Party Watch.
