The United States Pirate Party recently announced on its website that it will convene in June for its 2024 Pirate National Convention. Unlike in recent years, the party plans for its convention to be an in-person gathering.
“This conference promises to be a historic gathering of Pirates, setting the stage for new adventures and alliances. Don’t miss the chance to be part of this seafaring spectacle,” the party teases on its website. “A sign-up form, times and agenda is soon to follow to fully RSVP, following general pricing and shuttling information.”
While the party will provide further information at a later date, it plans for a two-day conference to take place from June 1 to June 2, 2024, in O’Hare, Illinois. Additionally, there will be an informal meet-and-greet for party supporters to network leading up to the event on May 31 at the Best Western in neighboring Rosemont. Previous Pirate National Conventions have included sharing presentations by members, hosting candidate debates, and electing a new Pirate National Committee.
The party also added that on the final day of the conference, it plans to hold a special outdoor meeting at a location yet to be determined, providing supporters with an opportunity to “take the pirate cause to the open seas.”
The venue location for the conference has not yet been announced. Readers can follow conference updates on the Pirate Party website.
