October 2026 Monthly Open Thread

For more than a decade, Independent Political Report has hosted a Monthly Open Thread, providing readers with a single, dedicated space to share news tips, opinions, and articles on topics related to American third parties, independent candidates and movements, and anything else pertaining to our broader focus.

Grassroots participation is often a vital component of third party and independent organizing, and IPR believes the decentralized sharing of information in these threads plays a similarly important role in understanding these organizations. Readers are also invited to use this thread to share any direct updates on relevant events in their respective regions.

We ask all readers participating in our Monthly Open Thread to remain respectful of others and be mindful of the site’s Comment Policy. The editorial team may remove irrelevant content or spam at its discretion.

As always, please be aware that the views expressed in these threads are solely those of the individual commenters and do not represent those of Independent Political Report or its publishing organization, the Outsider Media Foundation. News articles or specific information shared by the editorial team are similarly provided for educational purposes and to help drive the conversation.
