Democratic Party Seeks Project Manager to Gather Intel on Third Party and Independent Candidates in Removed Ad

The Democratic Party is seeking a project manager to gather campaign information and track the progress of third party and independent candidates such as Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Cornel West, and Jill Stein, according to a now-removed advertisement.

The advertisement, initially posted by the Democratic Party on the applicant tracking site Lever and LinkedIn, stated that the party is seeking to hire a “Third Party & Independent Project Manager.” According to the advertisement, the project manager will be “tasked with overseeing and managing 3PI-related work in respective states, as well as overseeing an aspect of the program.”

The posting goes on to note that the project manager would begin focusing on the “initial phase” of work, including using micro-influencers to push content, researching ballot access-related information, and volunteering for “petition review and other legal-adjacent support for potential ballot access challenges.”

Several additional specific responsibilities listed include tracking the campaigns of presidential candidates Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Cornel West, and Green Party candidate Jill Stein; recruiting volunteers to attend third party and independent candidate events and report back to the Democratic Party; and conducting proactive outreach to in-state political contacts to monitor local activities.

The notice did not mention any other campaigns or political parties, such as the Libertarian Party or the Party for Socialism and Liberation, among others.

The job posting on both Lever and LinkedIn has since been removed. The version above was shared by Robert F. Kennedy Jr. Campaign Director Amaryllis Fox on her X account.

This is not the first instance where the Democratic Party has signaled its intention to counter third party and independent presidential campaign efforts this election cycle. Earlier in the year, the Democratic Party enlisted veteran party operative Lis Smith to oversee “an aggressive communications component of its strategy, which also includes opposition research and legal challenges” in response to third-party and independent challengers to incumbent President Joe Biden. The effort was also said to involve DNC insiders Mary Beth Cahill and Ramsey Reid, among others.

With thanks to Nicholas Hensley for making Independent Political Report aware of the advertisement.

What Walter said, and also, Stein’s hypocrisy on not personally #BDS-ing, Bob Jr.’s ongoing self-inflicted wounds and Cornel West not even being a blip on a radar screen (but with enough self-conflicting statements of baggage if necessary) that this isn’t necessary.

Besides, isn’t Yashar Ali out there waiting to be an oppo research flunky again?

The Democrats would be well advised to consider electoral reforms, rather than electoral sabotage. They should consider support for alternatives such as run-off, approval, or ranked voting.

  3. I’ll be happy to tell them what’s really going on if they can get me Cadillac dental. Not to mention how it’s already been agreed how the Democrats (they approached me in 2019, folks) will in due course be the libertarian-oriented/liberal party to the US LP’s libertarian-direction ‘world of Florida’s’ emphasis, and whatever the Gilsons feel Libertarian Program project should be doing. That is, the Troika Strategy.
Ad interim, I’ve suggested they get out of the neo-communist ‘progressive International’ and join the Liberal international conceived and brought into existence by my father.

Oh, the Democratic Party current ‘e leaders’ don’t know what going on in their own party? They should commiserate with the Mises caucus. Or the Trump campaign right-wing communist-dupe fans on Youtube contradicting Trump. Hey, I love ’em.

Then again, that may be too insidery for them. They could always read IPR.
