The Libertarian National Committee has created a new Business List for public access. The read-only email group, which allows members of the party to publicly view national party business and discussions, unexpectedly went offline earlier this week.
Independent Political Report obtained the address for the new list on Thursday. This list, accessible here, has only recently begun to be used for national party business, with Secretary Pro Tem Adrian F Malagon posting a notice about an upcoming Libertarian Party Judicial Committee meeting scheduled for this month. It remains unclear whether the previous list’s removal was deliberate, the result of technical issues, or connected to an ongoing derivative lawsuit filed against the Libertarian National Committee earlier this year.
The previous list abruptly disappeared on Tuesday morning without any explanation. Attempts to access it resulted in a Google error indicating the list was unavailable. First adopted by delegates at the 2012 Libertarian National Convention, the list was established as a transparency tool to allow party members to observe discussions and deliberations by Libertarian National Committee members.
Notably, the new list does not include the archived discussions from the previous one, spanning a period from February until this week. The Libertarian National Committee has yet to say how or if they will preserve those records. It is also unknown whether they plan to restore the previous list or provide alternative access to the missing information.

“Notably, the new list does not include the archived discussions from the previous one, spanning a period from February until this week.”
