Former Libertarian Party Vice Presidential nominee Spike Cohen will headline the Libertarian Party of Florida’s annual convention later this year. The party is also organizing several exclusive events featuring Cohen throughout the convention weekend.
In an email from the party’s Convention Committee Chair this week, it was announced that Cohen, who ran alongside Jo Jorgensen in 2020, will deliver the convention’s keynote address. According to the party, Florida’s convention will be the only Libertarian state convention where Cohen is slated to speak this year, as he is choosing to primarily focus on his nonprofit advocacy. Cohen is also scheduled to give opening remarks before a comedy show at the convention venue on Saturday evening.
In addition to his speech, the party will also host two ticketed events that weekend featuring Cohen, including a shooting event on Friday at a local gun shop and a private luncheon the following afternoon.
Last month, the Libertarian Party of Florida announced that its annual convention will take place in Daytona Beach in June. The convention’s theme—”This is MY Swamp!”—was selected through a pay-to-vote-style fundraiser, with members submitting several options beforehand. The winning submission came from former state party members Josh Hlavka and Tim Crosby Jr., who collectively raised over $1,000 to support their proposal before relocating out of state.

Cohen was the secret, surprise keynote speaker all along? 😀 That’s much better than Trump!
I still think the convention theme sucks ****** ****(*) though.
Are the presidential and vice-presidential nominees from the most recent election also participating in Florida’s convention?
