The Convention Committee of the Unified Libertarians of Massachusetts has announced that the party will hold its annual state convention in Plymouth. In an email sent Tuesday, the committee stated that members will meet at the VFW Post 1822 in late March.
According to the email, the party will meet on March 30. A loose agenda provided in the announcement includes the annual election of party officers, proposed bylaw changes, and presentations from several speakers. However, the agenda does not specify which bylaw proposals will be discussed. The convention is free to the public, but only current party members can vote on official business.
Speakers for the event include John Weeks and Kyle Anzalone of the Libertarian Institute, as well as Cole Harrison, the Administrative Director and Gaza Israel Mideast Peace campaign coordinator for Massachusetts Peace Action. Weeks will discuss how the United States leads the “Global Censorship Complex,” while Anzalone will speak on principled opposition to the Trump administration’s foreign policy. Harrison will present the 2025-2026 Commonwealth Peace and Justice agenda.
The Unified Libertarians of Massachusetts is one of several libertarian political organizations operating in the state and the only one formally affiliated with the Libertarian National Committee. While it does not currently have ballot access or state recognition, it has been recognized by the Federal Election Commission as a state party committee under federal regulations since last December.
