Reform Party Opposes U.S. Expansion Into Gaza, Greenland, and Panama

The Reform Party released a statement this week rejecting any proposed expansion of U.S. territorial control, specifically referencing the Gaza Strip, Greenland, and Panama. The statement calls for peaceful international engagement and warns against a return to more imperialist policy approaches.

In a statement on Tuesday from its Communications Committee, the Reform Party positioned itself against the idea of territorial acquisition as a path to national growth, stating that such ambitions are not congruent with the philosophy of the organization. It argues that alliances and trade offer more sustainable benefits to the United States and urges policymakers to pursue diplomatic measures.

The party compared occupying Gaza to past efforts to “nation build” in Afghanistan and Iraq, noting that such attempts cost the United States “trillions of dollars” while creating additional instability in the region. It also cautioned that Panama and Denmark, both of which are close U.S. allies situated on key trade routes, offer more value as partners than as targets of annexation or control.

The statement follows several remarks made by President Donald Trump since winning a second term in 2024. These include renewed interest in acquiring Greenland from Denmark and securing the Panama Canal for its strategic value. Trump said in January that the U.S. needs both areas for “economic security.” At a press conference in February, he also suggested the United States seize control of Gaza and transform it into “the Riviera of the Middle East.”

Reform Party Statement on Gaza, Greenland and Panama

President Donald Trump has spoken numerous times about his imperialist agenda of owning Greenland and Panama while controlling the Gaza Strip. The Reform Party stands firmly against territorial acquisition as a means for growth, and stands firmly on the side of peace. We believe that Trump’s imperial ambitions are not congruent with the political philosophy of the Reform Party. We stand firmly against them.

On the topic of Gaza, the Reform Party would like to point out the attempts to nation build in Afghanistan and Iraq. After spending trillions of dollars on these attempts, the United States walked away with casualties, damaged international reputation and a fiscal deficit. Both of these attempts created more issues in the region, including the rise of ISIS. The Reform Party stands firmly against the military occupation of Gaza.

Panama and Greenland (Denmark) are close allies of the United States. Both nations exist on major trade routes. The United States can enjoy security and profit from international trade through these routes without occupation. The Reform Party supports working with these allies through development deals and stands firmly against annexation.

The United States has already had an imperial period through the late 1800s until World War 2. This imperial period drew us into numerous wars and cost thousands of American lives. If we look at the occupation of the Philippines after the Spanish American War, we can see the results of occupying a people’s native land. This results in a guerilla war against us, which is expensive in American lives and American dollars. We stand to gain more through trade and respect. The Reform Party supports mutually beneficial trade with our partners.

The Reform Party does not see the right way to go at the Unity Party we believe that growing America peacefully will create a new American renaissance. Does the Reform Party not want peace in the world? Does the Reform Party not want a new American renaissance? We can do this peacefully it will take a while but can happen. The expansionist movement is much bigger then the MAGA movement and includes many centrists.

    Not to mention, Canada.

But, that’s what happens when you have a landlord for President. This rent-seeker doesn’t want partners, he wants tenants.
