The Green Party of Minnesota will convene in St. Paul this month for its 2025 Annual Membership Meeting. The agenda includes electing members to the Coordinating Committee and considering proposed amendments to the party’s bylaws.
“Come meet fellow Greens and independent progressives from across the state, help set party priorities for the upcoming year, hear about our current campaigns and party projects, and enjoy some light refreshments,” the party wrote in its meeting announcement. “We also have some business items, including by-law amendments and electing new coordinating committee members.”
This year’s meeting is scheduled for Saturday, July 12, and will begin at 1:00 PM local time at the St. Paul Library. The event is open to the public, and attendees are encouraged to register in advance through the party’s website.
According to party bylaws, voting members must be Minnesota residents at least 14 years of age who share the Green Party’s values and who notified the state party of their intent to vote at least 60 days prior to the meeting. Members of an accredited local affiliate are also considered voting members unless they explicitly opt out of state party membership.
Otherwise qualifying residents who express their intent to vote after the 60-day deadline may still be able to participate if a current voting member vouches for them, though the bylaws permit only one such vouch per qualifying member.
The party’s Coordinating Committee will also hold its regular monthly meeting earlier that same day in Minneapolis. That meeting will also accommodate remote participation.
