In a race pitting two of the weakest Senate candidates in the country Alexi Giannoulias continues to hold a small lead over Mark Kirk, 37-35, with Green Party candidate LeAlan Jones pulling 9%.

The guy who ran TPR resigned his position a couple months ago.
It’s true, TPR has been very absent lately. But he could come back when you least expect it, kind of like me.
LeAllen Jones should work within the Constitution Party.
It seems silly for PPP not to include the Libertarian in this race. I am not sure on the CP’s status, so that could be understandable. However, leaving only one minor party candidate on the ballot leaves alot of space for a single-minded protest vote. Rich Whitney arguably got such a high % in 2006 with a big protest vote against two candidates that the electorate simply didn’t like. LeAlan Jones could benefit, but he will likely have to contend with the protest vote being split this year.

LeAlan Jones is a superb Green Party candidate for U.S. Senate.
Remember this is about where Jesse Ventura was in the polls at a similar juncture.
