LP blog updates list of Libertarian presidential candidates

LP blog updates list of Libertarian presidential candidates:

This page has a list of all individuals running for U.S. President in 2012 who have filed statements of candidacy with the Federal Election Commission.

It includes the following who have filed as Libertarians:

Roger Gary

R.J. Harris

Carl Person

Lee Wrights

The following are Bylaws Sustaining Members of the national Libertarian Party and have announced their intention to run for U.S. President in 2012, but have not filed a statement of candidacy with the Federal Election Commission.

Jim Burns

Robert Milnes

Dave Redick

Miss Joy Waymire

IPR notes:

1) The LP’s link to Carl Person still goes to his facebook page rather than to his website.

2) Jim Duensing is not on this list. I don’t know whether this is because his LP dues have lapsed or whether he has dropped out. A recent email went unanswered, but several of the other candidates also did not respond. An additional possibility could be that he just hasn’t alerted LPHQ that he is running and no one has done it on his behalf.

3) Wayne Root is not listed because he currently says he has not decided whether to run. The picture of the White House in the banner of his Copyright 2011 website has been taken by some to mean that he is definitely running, as have some statements in the media.

    TB,

I am greatly humbled by the amount of attention I receive on the front page of the Milnes website 🙂

The website for Robert Milnes is by far the most captivating campaign website I’ve encountered in this 2012 election cycle.

Fantastic stuff – from cat hoarding to the FBI watching him masturbate through his TV as he watches Norah O’Donnell.

No other presidential candidate is putting this type of stuff out there. I think a substantial number of Americans would find him to be quite interesting if mainstream media would give him some exposure.

a google search for “LNCC” or “Libertarian National Campaign Committee” failed to reveal this site.

Maybe later. I’ll check with Wayne to see whether they want to publicize it first.

Also, why are you addressing that to me personally? Lots of other people write here too, you know…

  7. LOOK AT LNNCC website September 24, 2011

The website LNCC is very nicely done. Now that is long time coming.

Paulie if you please, maybe you can make a new post to show the LNCC website.

Duensing: He has not filed with the FEC.

They have a category for LP members that are “running” but have not filed with the FEC. Half of the candidates they list are in the FEC filing category (Harris, Wrights, Person, Gary) and half are not (Milnes, Burns, Redick, Waymire). The FEC filers seem to be the more serious contenders, relatively speaking.

At one point he had suspended his campaign in order to support a Republican, but I may be out of date on that.

    I don’t remember seeing that.

That would explain it, if so.
