In their September 2008 poll, the Washington Post has a combined total of 4% for Libertarian William Redpath and Independent Green Gail Parker.
Newsvirginian.com also carries this article about Gail Parker, which is an interesting overview of her candidacy and other independent candidacies.
Feel free to post other news items about this Senate race.

Does anyone here ever read David Brooks, or hear him talk on TV or the radio? The other day I heard him say one of the most (and one of the few) intelligent things I’ve heard him say.
Something about broken clocks…

Redpath is is statist
No, just moderately libertarian.
No, Gilmore cannot win, John Warner will create a coalition bipartisan coalition to propel his clan cousin General Mark Warner so he can sanctify and bring glory to the Obama revolution, amen.
Oops, sorry that was 4% combined. I stick by my 1.5%, or less even.
Redpath got . . . from my recollection of the 2001 Governor’s election, just about 1.1% of the vote. No way he gets 4% for Senate this time. I say he gets 1.5%.
Gilmore can win, even in an Obama year, with an anti-bailout message. Gail4Rail has a lot of good things to say.
I’m a pretty libertarian dude, but Redpath might actually be my 3rd choice in that race, which is unprecedented for an LP candidate.
Does anyone here ever read David Brooks, or hear him talk on TV or the radio? The other day I heard him say one of the most (and one of the few) intelligent things I’ve heard him say. He was talking about how a shift in the country’s political power was happening, and it’s being taken over by “corporate progressives” (aka Wall Street Democrats, as sunshinebatman said). I wouldn’t give them the honor of being called progressive, but it’s a very good observation, one that Nader has been saying for a while now.
A Republican more libertarian then Redpath on Guns? The chairman of the Libertarian Party, No way.
I’m being sarcastic, Redpath is is statist.
The Republican Gilmore is now running a populist anti-bailout campaign against the pro-bailout Wall Street Democrat Mark Warner.
Gilmore is said by some to be to the “right” of the LP nominee on guns.
Redpath’s is a little cleaner and at least has a title.
Both Parker and Redpath have the same website set-up.
