In what is arguably his first “debate” with another Alternative Party’s presidential candidate, Gary Johnson is interviewed in the above clip by Boston Tea Party presidential candidate Jim Duensing and a co-host for Freedomizer Radio.
Johnson is the presidential candidate of the Libertarian Party, which has been on the ballot since 1972, on enough ballots to have a mathematical chance to win the presidential election every time since 1976, and on 45 or more state ballots in every election since 1980 except one (1984). They LP is working towards similar ballot access this year (disclosure: I am working as a ballot access contractor for them among other clients, as I have in every cycle since 2000).
Duensing is the presidential candidate of the Boston Tea Party, created in 2006. The BTP was on three state ballots in 2008 (disclosure: I helped get them on two of those, also as a contractor). At this time the BTP is not on the ballot in any state, but it hopes to have several states of ballot access again this year.
I have not seen the whole video yet, so I don’t know if Johnson knew that Duensing was also a presidential candidate of another political party.
Further disclosure: I am a Life Member of the Libertarian Party and one of hundreds of delegates who traveled to each of five national conventions including the one just concluded in Las Vegas; I am also a free online member of the BTP (the only kind of membership they have) and one of perhaps a couple dozen people who votes in their online national elections on a somewhat regular basis.

Got to say this year the level of accomplishment and smarts among the “Alternative Party” candidates is looking to dwarf what the D’s and R’s are putting forward.
i.e. –
A debate of Gary Johnson, Jill Stein, Rocky Anderson, Virgil Goode, and Buddy Roemer imho would cover WAY more ground with a ton of better potential solutions being offered in the mix that the bs that will end up getting bantered back and forth among Obama and Romney.
