Not really reporting from Mount Rushmore …

“Independents’ Day” was advertised as an opportunity to “Talk one-on-one with the TOP Independent and Third Party Presidential and Congressional Candidates” last weekend at Mount Rushmore … but did it actually happen? Inquiring minds want to know.

So far, the only first-hand reportage on the event is from Donald K. Allen, one of the presidential candidates scheduled to attend the two-day combination rally, debate and meet’n’greet:

Friday night we went to the Pittsburgh airport to catch our 5 p.m. flight to Denver, with a short layover before proceeding on to Rapid City, SD. The flight was delayed twice, then cancelled. United said they could get us to Denver Friday night, but couldn’t get us to Rapid City until Saturday evening by 5 p.m. We cancelled and came home, watched “North by Northwest.”

No post-event coverage as yet, either in the mainstream media or from Allen’s fellow candidates, John Blyth, Bill Ingram and Ruth Bryant White.

I think Robby had a representative there. You know how big his campaign organization is!
