The Denver Post reports that former Congressman Tom Tancredo will run for Governor of Colorado in 2014 – as a Republican.
In 2010 ex-Rep Tancredo ran for Governor on the American Constitution Party ticket. In that race he received support from numerous Republican officeholders and activists, and came in second. Tancredo received 37% of the vote and established the American Constitution Party as a major party in Colorado.
Shortly after the 2010 election, Mr Tancredo announced his return to the Republican Party.
Addendum – in 2012 former Congressman Tancredo publicly supported Colorado’s intitiative legalize recreational marijuana.
The initiative passed, and Colorado has already adopted a framework to allow sale of marijuana in regulated stores.

I don’t think he has any intention of doing that.
Did they get a sore loser law passed in CO? Can he party-switch again post-primary?
Im betting he wins, actually. He’s pretty popular in GOP circles.
Tancredo will not make it past the GOP convention, let alone the primary.
And the LP looking at him, @4? Please. That’s as likely as Charles Manson getting parole. Who’s crazier is a toss-up.
@10, Tancredo hails from the Dark Side of Denver, meaning the west side, and he’s just as crazy as the metroliberals that infest the city.
While I have no problems with immigrants seeking public office in the US, I think it is important for all candidates to disclose where they’re from.
In Tancredo’s case, that would be “which planet.”
At least he won’t have to worry about a Republican spoiling the election.

Sounds like someone has a case of support-the-ideologically-pure-hobo-because-everyone-else-is-neocon blues. You have no clue what a neocon is.
Supporting Libertarian Matt Hess, Tancredo is a neocon.
John Lennon was not socially conservative; if Larry Norman and Pat Robertson can be believed, he may have started to lean that way, but his murder came too soon to know whether he would really become a serious christian, or leave after a while like Bob Dylan.
I don’t support Tancredo; can’t stand his anti-immigration and pro-war nonsense, and I am too socialist economically. we need a left/Catholic unity ticket of Joe Biden and Media Benjamin in 2016.
Like John Lennon and Newt Gingrich, Tancredo is the perfect blend of libertarianism and social conservatism. He is known to be Functional (experienced), Fillmore (native American) and Frugal (believes in limited government). Tancredo is another great option for the Libertarian Party in 2016, especially with two years experience as governor.
I can see Tancredo winning the nomination and the election.
I’ll bet Tancredo does not make it out of the GOP gubernatorial primary.
What an irony if the ACP nominates an opponent for Tancredo who syphons off enough votes to cause him to lose.
